    Yea Walmart!
    When I bought my new Mr. Coffee, it did not come with a permanent filter. Yea for Walmart! I got my filter promptly and am now all set!

    Not Designed Well.
    I would not recommend this item. I was surprised that since it was promoted under Mr.Coffee name that it does not work well with it. The design with a solid bottom does not allow the coffee to go through quickly enough resulting in it overflowing washing grounds into the pot. I tried with both regular and fine grounds with same disappointing result.

    Reusable coffee filter is the way to go.
    Save money on coffee filters, use this well-made basket. I like the handle so I don't have to lift out a hot basket to wash it.

    Good but handle isn't attached
    The handle doesn't come already attached to basket. You have to install it yourself. Couldn't get the ends pushed through the holes even after trying to gently make the holes bigger. No handle makes it inconvenient to lift out of the coffee maker. Otherwise it works well.

    New, Not So Sure...
    This items delivery time came as expected... the only 'odd' thing is it was stuffed into a makeshift box, with no wrapping, bagging, or any indication of 'new' and certainly not original packaging... it appears clean and unused... but just odd it. Disinfected and cleaned before using...

    testing the solid bottom
    so far, so good...we're trying the solid bottom filter as opposed to the screened netting around all side and bottom too. so far it is doing fine. I think with the solid bottom you are able to get a coffee taste since it goes slower than the screened bottom, which just runs right thru as it brews.. time will tell for sure. Came by way of USPS
