Gift Cards are awesome for self gifting
I sell online and find it's less expensive to grab a gift card than send $ using pay pal as with a gift card I get doorstep delivery. I recommend this method to friends and family all the time.

This card was supposed to be activated since it was $200 Person that recieved it couldnt use it.I had to call customer service. They activated it but will take 48 hours NEVER will do this again

    these cards are terrible dont use
    I bought three $200 gift cards and got them on January 3rd and have been fighting with Vanilla gift cards for them to activate or replace my cards because I can't use all 3 that I bought and it's February 10th now never use these

    didnt like buying vanilla gift card bought 2 of them charge me 413dollars when got cards they never was active. call over 20 times reach out to costume services still to this day not active i what a refund now

    half baked trash wrapped in a mess
    so for about the 10th time in 2-3 years i got ANOTHER unactivated card from these vanilla gift clowns. usually its a visa, this time its a mastercard but thats not the important part. the important part is these are NOT gifts! these are pain in the rear end lottery cards. imagine if you will giving your 20ish year old daughter a 200$ gift card for whatever reason. she then decides to go out and run up the bill at some fancy restaurant THINKING "good old dad giving me the big ole gift card" and she enjoys her meal with her friends. then the bill comes and she happily hands them the gift card for 200$.. only for the waiter to come back and announce that its been declined! now this is no easy fix, for one thing the number on back of the card does NOT connect you to a human! whats more she doesnt have access to the reciept or order number or any of that stuff, so she cant even call walmart and be like "help!". and when i call wallyworld? i get put on hold for 20 minutes and then am told it will take THREE TO FIVE DAYS to resolve the issue! so the recipient of the card looks like a jerk for using a card with no value, you look like a jerk for giving them a card with no value, walmart looks like jerks for selling a card with no value, and most of all vanillagift looks like MASSIVE jerks for not being able to get their product in to customers hands without a colonoscopy! there are no winners here! buy your gift cards anywhere else, but do NOT buy vanilla!

    absolutely horrible half the bar code off the back is missing cant use the card online or in the store it gets declined you also cant register it because it says system error no one answers the customer service number and walmart employees say they cant help $200 tied up in a useless card that doesnt work very frustrating
