Good quality
Good quality sunflower seed. No moths or larvae inside like some of the other brands. Birds, squirrels and chipmunks all approve!

All MOLDY
When I opened the bag it smelled terribly and was clearly all moldy. Afraid to even dump it in my yard for fear of hurting other animals that might try to eat it.

    Wagner Sunflower Seed
There are times that there are more sticks and debri than necessary, but some sticks are played with by the birds and actually eaten similar to eating a peanut shell. Just because we think it is debri, doesn't mean it is to the birds. Likely there is a lot of nutrients in some of that. Not everyone feeds birds like we do and they are still around ? I personally enjoy feeding the birds, squirrels too. Overall, the seed is clean and there packing and shipping is excellent. Some of the bags even have handles on it, 25 pound bags. Their prices though go up and down, this I don't care for, but they are still very competitive and this particular bag I got a really good deal I thought. You do have to keep your eye out for sales and the shipping is free with conditions from the retailer, but not everyone offers free shipping and look at the cost. Wagner does not do that. So even with a competitive price, he ships for free. Think about that. Most don't see the inside matter because they don't sell to the public. I have two stores. Shipping really hurts a seller's bottom line and while I wish I could do it to all my orders, one store has it but the other doesn't. Prices need to reflect that difference and I don't always include it in my cost. I consider myself a very generous seller. I tow the line though.

    Availability Priceless
Because I have no means of travel, and due to the virus confining many of us to our homes, the availability of a product like this is priceless. Fed Ex delivered 50 lbs. of bird seed directly to my door in a timely fashion. As a senior citizen, I greatly appreciate the shipping accommodations that are being made for us.

    Backyard birds love these seeds
We just got a bird feeder and after doing some quick research, decided on black sunflower seeds because we wanted to attract a wider variety of bird species to watch during quarantine. So far, so good. Birds gobble these seeds up and we are seeing more bird varieties flock to the feeder. Good price too.

    Not for every bird!
We made a mistake getting all sunflower. Mostly just the Scrub Jays come and eat it. One other bird, possibly a nuthatch, came and just played with it, pulling it out of the feeder, as though it were a game. It just pulled out giant portions of the sunflower, scattering it all over the ground--not even eating it! We also find little piles of shells, which we think the squirrels are leaving behind. We bought some other mix of wild bird seed and combined them.
