Easy to assemble
If you are looking for a solid bed frame, this is the one to buy. Mine is the Queen size, & it is very, very nice. You can put it together in minutes, as nearly everything is right there. You only need to use the provided wing nuts to secure the leg supports, & two bolt assemblies to link the two halves together. The instructions are pretty clear, though the picture could be a little better, you'll understand it when you are assembling it. Bring the supports down, tighten wing nuts-done. I like how well this is built, with the guy supports running across, to support the bed. I didn't see till later, that it says you don't need to have a box spring. I, like most, have one of those, as we just bought a new bed. I can certainly see that you won't need a box spring, as this is a very sturdy frame. Mine didn't come with any mattress or box spring supports, but you can add those on later. If you want to use this as a stand alone frame for your bed, it is great that way, as well. It's a bit taller than conventional frames (great if you want to store something under the bed), so if you have a thick mattress topper & comfy (thingy) like I do, your bed will be nearly three feet off the floor. I personally like tall beds, because I'm tall. The honey, not so much; she's not tall, though she likes the added height, she isn't too fond of sliding off the bed. The picture shows all three pieces together, & let me tell you, it is very nice! I like a firm support, & the Hercules frame provides this for me. I never felt that the bed would slide off the frame, but I didn't really roll around on it vigorously. With twelve supports, it isn't going to coil or buckle, that's for sure. For those of you who purchase this, that live in an apartment, you'll want to pick up some disks for the legs, so that you don't deform the carpet. I have either used those moving sliders, or bed risers. Depends on how high you want your bed. You can also use a sheet of wood, if you have that handy, if you don't have a throw rug. If you own the carpeting you have other choices, obviously. I see this frame lasting many, many years, & it looks like it will be able to fit quite a few bed configurations too.

Sturdy. Easy to assemble and store.
Modern Sleep Metal Platform Bed Frame Queen Box includes: 2 fold-able frame sections 2 wing nuts 2 bolts 2 spacers Instructions for assembly. Bolts, spacers and wing nuts were taped to the frame bar so they’re not loose in the box. Weighs 41lbs. This platform bed frame is meant to be used with memory foam or latex/air mattresses. I plan on using this as a guest bed. You don’t need a box spring because the platform frame works as a box spring. Not sure how well the frame would hold up to daily use. The measurement of the bed frame after assembly was 58 and 3/4” W x 78 and 5/8" L x 14” H. It’s very easy to assemble. It only took hubby and I about 10 minutes. There’s a 3/4 inch gap in the middle of the 2 sections when the frame is fully assembled. One section of the frame was about 1/8 inch longer than the other but with my mattress on top you’d never know. There are a total of 12 support legs. 6 on each section. There are 8 support bars on each frame section going across horizontally then the thinner bars going across vertically. When fully assembled there is about 13 and 1/4 inches of space from the floor to the bottom of the frame which can be used as storage. From floor to top of frame is 14 inches. This frame can fit in a small space if needed. I put mine in a 6 ft. 3”W x 7ft. L cubby hole space. My queen size memory foam mattress fit great with 2” of over-hang off the sides. The frame felt sturdy and all the legs on mine stood level on the hard wood floor. When I lay on it, it was comfortable and I didn’t hear any squeaking or creaking. (My mattress is 12” thick. Not sure how it would feel with a thinner mattress). It wouldn’t take long to disassemble the frame for storage. And since each section folds in half it wouldn’t take up too much space. This frame does Not come with casters. You can purchase brackets (sold separately) for attaching a headboard or foot-board to the frame. Plus you could purchase or make a wall mounted headboard and push the frame up against it. If you don’t like the legs of the frame showing you could always cover the frame with a bed-skirt. The instructions left out certain details so I’ll explain how to assemble: Place the bed frame sections face down to begin assembly. On each end of both frame sections there is a bar with 2 legs. Pull the bar up so legs face upward. On the leg bar there are 2 slotted support arms attached. Swing out the support arms to slide onto the bolts you see on the next support bar. Then tighten them down with the wing nut. We used pliers to tighten the wing nuts down. Once you have all the support arms attached to the bolts on the frame, flip each frame section over, right side up. The curved sides of the frames should face outward. Where the 2 frame sections meet in the middle, place the spacers in between the frames. There is a bolt hole in each middle frame bar near the head and foot of the frame. Line the bolt holes up then insert the bolt through both holes. Screw on the wing nut and tighten. Repeat on the other end to hold the frames together. You’re done.

    Love This Frame!
I've purchased frame foundations before and had never had a "pleasant" experience with assemble before. I was always over-whelmed by confusing instructions, too many parts and very time-consuming to assemble. Not the case with this product. The hardest task I had with it was getting it upstairs to my bedroom. It literally took 5 minutes to put together. It came partially assembled, with two sections already attached. When you take it out of the box, you just unfold them and secure the retractable support bars underneath the 4 sets of wing nuts. Once you're done, just slide the two pieces together and attach them with two large bolts. THAT SIMPLE! It's very sturdy and I had no worries about it collapsing once I put the mattress on top. If I every need another frame, this is the one I'll buy!

Easy Assembly, Great for Small Spaces, Comfortable
When this Modern Sleep Platform Metal Frame arrives at your home, you will find it is surprisingly lighter than what you anticipate. I carried mine up 3 flights of stairs! That doesn't mean it is whimpy as a support mattress frame at all, but I will get in to that shortly. Once you open the box, remove the frame, and simply unfold. You will then tighten the wing nuts where the supports meet the frame, and then fasten the nuts and screws to join the two pieces together. I ordered a size Queen for the Modern Sleep 12" Gel Memory Foam Mattress, and needed a frame for the new mattress to avoid putting it on the floor. It was very easy to unpack and assemble, taking no more than 10 minutes total for assembly. If you get stuck for some reason, there are assembly instructions, but you likely won't need them. At first glance after assembly, I began to wonder just how sturdy this mattress was. I have always had the headboard with the wooden frame attached, and last year bought one from IKEA that had a million pieces - a real nightmare to put together. I thought, how can a bed frame be so simple and provide so much support? Just observing the frame, one can see it is very well-constructed, with a lot of inter-supports, that would extend the longevity of your mattress. So, this new bed is a guest bed, but you always want to test out the guest bed, right?! With the Modern Sleep Gel Memory Foam Mattress, I do not have a box spring, and one is not needed anyway. The mattress itself provides a tremendous amount of support, and the frame provides even more support. You can also place this frame inside a wooden bed frame, if you choose. The frame sits 12"-13" off the floor, providing space underneath...either for your cat's new hideout, or storage. Personally, the height of the bed frame is perfect, which is not always easy to accomplish. This frame and mattress is a little more than 2 feet high, making it super easy to get in and out, especially if you suffer from back ailments. It is also perfect for smaller spaces, like mine, since I placed this bed in the office/guest bedroom, so a headboard with a bulky bed frame would overwhelm the space. Overall, the frame is very sturdy, although I would like to see the 4 legs a little bulkier for my own peace of mind. However, it does have 12 contact points on the floor and unites in the center, providing extra support to the mattress. I appreciate the fact that it's not solid, allowing the foam mattress to breathe. I would go as far as to say it's fairly portable as well, and at the very least, if you need to move it to another room, that can be accomplished in about 10 minutes. Also, if you need to pack it up to temporarily store it, it packs up quite nicely and is very compact. I have wood floors, so I will be putting placing protectors where the contact points meet the floor. I didn't feel the bed move or slide at all when I got in and out of it several times, but I consider it insurance for the floors!

    Wonderful frame - great quality
In review of the Modern Sleep Platform metal bed frame to give you some context, I have the Modern Sleep Engage 11 inch Hybrid Gel Memory Foam Mattress. I think the best thing about this frame is that if you get this platform style frame you don’t need a box spring! That saves you a ton of money which makes up for the fact that this frame might be alittle bit more money than a traditional “square” type bed frame. One of the best part about this bedframe is that it sits about 14 inches off the ground. There is so much storage under the bed without that box spring! I love that feature. The bed frame came in a box and must be assembled. It was SUPER easy to put together. It took about15-20 minutes to assemble and it only has about 8 steps. No tools required! This platform frame is a great combo with the gel memory foam mattress that they make a great pair when bought together even, which is how I got them. I am considering getting the platform frame for the other mattresses in my house because it gives you so much storage under the bed. I will also mention it is very sturdy. I feel like the square type traditional bed frames are wobbly, and this one barely moves. I piled my entire family on it (about 400 lbs) to see and it was still very sturdy. Love this platform!

    Excellent metal bed frame!
Wow this bed frame was super easy to put together, it only took about 10 minutes and it looks great. Two pieces come folded up, like 2 smaller frames that you attach together. You just unfold them, turn them over, pull down 4 bars on each piece and screw them down with wing nuts. Flip them back over, butt them up against each other and put 2 screws in to hold the 2 pieces together. And you are all done! Then if you had to ever store it just unscrew the wing nuts and fold it back up. You don’t necessarily need tools for this but I did use pliers to help me tighten the 8 wing nuts and then pliers and a phillips screwdriver to help tighten the 2 screws with wing nuts that attach the 2 pieces together. This frame is really lightweight but yet sturdy. It didn’t say how much weight it can hold but it seems like it could hold a lot. It doesn't have wheels but was really easy to slide around on the carpet when trying to find just the perfect spot for it. The 12 legs work really well for extra stability and there’s lots of wires and bars for mattress support evenly across the frame. There isn’t anything along the edge to stop the mattress from sliding around but so far I haven’t had a problem with that. You don’t have to have a box spring with this frame, which is nice since I don’t have one. Mine is the Queen size so it measures 80"L x 60"W x 14"H. With the frame being 14” high that leaves a good 13” underneath for some extra storage space. It came in a box measuring 29.7” x 39.9” x 6.7” and weight 41 lbs. So it was very easy to get into the house. I highly recommend this bed frame.

    Amazing!
This bed frame is amazing! Not only does it eliminate the need for a box spring, it also gives me extra storage space underneath. I love this frame, when it came I had a hard time getting it inside because of the weight. Everything that you need is inside the box or attached to the frame itself. Once it was unpacked and put together it didn’t look like it would fit a queen sized mattress. I had an old full sized mattress so I put that on top of the frame and it only had about three inches left over. At first I was going to call and complain because I ordered a queen size and didn’t receive it. Then I remembered that the screws that bind the two separate parts together had what looked like a weight attached to them. So I took everything apart and realized that the weight is supposed to be in between the two sides. Once I did that it fit a queen perfectly. I did notice that because the frame is so sturdy and doesn’t have any give, that my older mattress was not as comfortable as it was when I had it on a box spring. That is the only thing that some people might consider wrong, but I just bought a better mattress.

    ModernSleep Platform Foundation
I first want to say I received the Modernsleep metal folding platform foundation / bed frame (queen) for my honest rating and review. With that out the way, I received the foundation in excellent condition just a little bit later then expected. I would have liked to receive it the same time I received the modern sleep innerspring mattress, so I could have done a combo review. Anyhow, The frame arrived in excellent condition. It came with two twin size frames that you turn upright, unfold, and use wing nuts that are already in place to secure the support arms. After, turn them over and use the two big screws in keyhole two connect the two frames and secure them tightly together and, “all done”. The entire setup was easy and I finished in a few minuets. Honestly, I could have done it without Instructions. After assembled, I placed my modernsleep memory foam pillow top mattress on top of the frame and done. Everything feels amazing. This is so much better then having the traditional mattress/ box spring setup because it’s solid metal and wont crack like traditional wood made box springs. I give it a 4 star and yes recommend this product.

    Easy set up!
This platform frame is delivered in a small box and the setup is so easy! My frame is for a queen so it is actually 2 frames that link together. All you have to do is flip 3 legs down and tighten wingnuts to hold them secure. Then there are wingnuts that secure each frame together. There are 12 total legs that touch the floor to provide support and equal weight distribution. I actually will be moving at the end of the month and I am so happy it will be so easy to fold up the bed frame and set it up at the new place. The frame is very sturdy and I don’t hear a single thing from the frame after putting my mattress on top of it and laying on it. There isn’t a place to add a headboard to the frame so I’ve decided to do a DIY (do-it-yourself) frame after I move that attaches to the wall. Also, I will be adding pleated bed skirt to hide the metal and spruce up the look. This frame is safe, secure and has so many possibilities for your room. Also, this gives a great amount of space under the bed and you can easily slide several plastic under the bed storage totes under!

Durable Bed Frame - Easy Assembly
The 'Modern Sleep Platform Metal Bed Frame Mattress Foundation' requires little assembly. It comes with a one page assembly instruction sheet and two bolts with spacer and wing nuts. The two bolts with spacers and wing nuts are used to attach each side of the bed frame together. The 'Queen' size frame consist of a right side and left side frame, that can be connected with the stated two bolts with spacers and wing nuts. All you do for assembly, is open the frame/frames, tighten the wing nuts that are already in place, turn the frame/frames over, connect the frames (if more than one (twin size) frame) and attach the frames with the included bolts with spacers and wing nuts (2). If you order the twin size, it would be one frame. (Also, for your information, with the 'Queen' size, you could remove the bolts with spacers and wing nuts, that would resort back to two frames, resulting in two twin frames.....depending on your mattress sizes and needs.) The frame sits 13" and 1/2" inches from the floor. The main purpose of this type of bed frame is it's usage with memory foam mattresses....therefore, depending on how high your memory mattress is, will determine how high your bed is. Additionally, this bed frame can in fact be used with a standard box springs and mattress.....in that case, you'll most probably find the bed sits very high. I placed the Modern Sleep 14" inch hybrid mattress on this frame and it is high but not overly high. The Modern Sleep Platform Bed Frame Mattress Foundation, appears to be very durable, yet light weight. Be sure to tighten all wing nuts tight. After placing the mattress on the metal foundation, it is all very comfortable, no squeaks or movements. A major key to not having a squeaky metal bed frame is to tighten the wing nuts securely.
