Doesnt work very good
I used this in my very small boler fiberglass vintage camper and it never cooled it off very well. The camper is 10 ft long by 6 ft wide by 7ft tall so its very small. I did like how much space it took up,but it just didnt work correctly. Then in the middle of the night it just shut off so when i woke up the next morning the camper was 88 degrees, and it definately never cooled well after that. I am goin g to use it this weekend again we will see how it does again.

    Not cold enough! See photo.
I put this unit in a 100 square foot Closet running for hours. It's supposed to handle 200 square feet. I followed all instructions, to make the unit run most efficiently. I still have not succeeded. I should have been more careful due to choosing a refurbished unit. I placed a thermometer on the unit. As I suspected the unit does not work properly as advertised.

Good for a small room. The AC unit doesn't cool enough.

I am very happy with it. 8 months later.
I have had this unit for over 8 months now. It has worked great from day 1. It keeps my 160 square ft room at 72°f all day and at night I turn it down to 69°f and it has no problem doing that either. I waited to write a review until the hot weather came. We just had a week here in NC where we topped 100°f three days in a row and very high 90's every other day. It still had no problem. My room is well insulated and that helps I am sure but I have run this thing hard for a good while now and I am still impressed. It was easy to hook up and vent. It keeps the room drier. (we have very high humidity here in the coast of NC) It is not quite but not noisy either by portable AC standards.

Unit Struggles To Get Temp Down To 79 Degrees
We have a 10 x 12 room (120 sq st). We set the unit's thermostat to 75 degrees. At 90 degrees outside, the compressor just runs and runs and runs and will not get any cooler than 79 degrees.

    This is a fan.
This product sucked, period. Now, if your still reading this you can stop wasting time and don't waste your money. This only blows room temperature air. I got cold air for the first 3 min. THREE MINUTES!! There is nothing else to say. This was a huge waste.

I live in LA & many places here do not have AC. We only have a few really hot days per year, so I settled on this unit based on previous reviews I read. Setup was relatively easy, I did this on my own so it would be a lot faster & easier with a second person. My windows are old & crooked so there's some gaps between the window & the attachment that can be fixed with tape & additional foam pieces but whatever, no big. As far the unit itself, it's loud but nothing too crazy if you're used to loud AC units. It's pretty small, which I appreciate living in a tiny apartment. The unit cools okay...I'm not that impressed. If you're sitting directly in front of the unit it's awesome, but it seems to have a problem cooling off my entire (200sq) living room. Also, I think the LED temp reader is broken? It'll say 80 on the screen but it feels much colder in my apartment so I don't feel like I'm getting an accurate reading. If it's 80 outside & I set it to, let's say, 73, it'll never get down to 73, it hovers around 75 which I think is the lowest I've ever seen it. I think this gets the job done if you're only using it a few weeks out of the year. If this is something you're going to be depending on longer like in Arizona or other mega hot states, I would do additional research.

    Cool only. Not cold.
The shipping box only printing on one side stating it was a portable air conditioner. But the printing was on the bottom so it was shipped upside down. The compressor should not be upside down because if I were to plug it in and try to run it right away the unit would have been ruined. So I let it set for over 24 hours to let the oil settle in the compressor and the lines. It never blew cold air.....just cold air. It never got below 80 degrees and the room it was in was only 120 square feet.

    Like it!
I love this since I hate hot weather and my windows are far far too small for a window unit in my house. My only caveat is that the term "Portable"...for whom? A weight lifter? At 60+ lbs, it's 2x heavier than the large window units on the market. It took my son to bring it into the house with my daughter spotting for him. Otherwise, its purpose, to cool the house, is great so far.
