Reliable Unit
This modem is one of the most reliable one I have ever owned. I have 3 4K televisions, 2 laptops, an iPad, 2 iPhones, 1 tablet, an Xbox, PlayStation 3, DVD player, Dish satellite, all which are part of my home network. I do have a great router. But a good modem is a must. It's the engine that allows you to get the speed and reliability from your ISP. I am upgrading to a 3.1 whereas this is a 3.0. This unit still works great but because of my multiple 4k's and 4K streaming I am upgrading. This still streams 4K well but with all of my wireless network it's time for me to upgrade. This is a great modem starting out for a family.

Works Good - For a While - Then Dies or Has Proble
My first unit worked great for six months then died. My second unit is still working but has latency issues. Apparently the chip set on this unit is considered bad.

    Arris Surfboard SB6190
This was a replacement for the next model down that was ruined by a lightning strike. I decided to buy the next model in the SB lineup because mine was already 6 years old and I figured Arris might obsolete it or Charter Communications wouldn't support its use. Like all of Arris products, it was easy to unpack and install. Charter identified the new equipment and initialized it remotely. I was back up-and-running within 20 minutes.

    Works with Comcast/Xfinity
Was wondering why my internet speed was so bad, well it turns out Xfinity stopped supporting my modem router combination. I went separate and chose this modem because it had 32 downstream channels. Depending on time of day and network traffic, etc, etc. I can get over 100 Mbps with this unit on my Wi-Fi router and LAN which is what my plan is for so I am happy with the modem. Set up is a breeze and you can tweak the modem settings but you have to go to Arris's website to get the username and password.

    I upgraded. but still good.
returned for an s11 with 2.5gbps lan ontop-which is the best one available. still after a year it'll start saving over 100$ modem alone. coupled with WiFi 6 router tplink with a great simple app. Xfinity has no more control over what I thought were illegal rental fees after x amount of time.

    Better than Xfinity Modem
Buy your own and it pays for itself in 4 months. Save money and buy your own.

    Quick and Easy!
I bought this modem to replace my existing Spectrum-issued Arris modem/router combo. I paired this modem with three Google Wifi pucks and all my problems with internet service disappeared. Modem is small, looks nice and is a snap to set up. Like others have said before, I'd really like to be able to dim the LEDs on the front, but its not a huge problem for me.

    Improved internet speeds!
Saved $120 a year in rentals from Comcast and improved my performance. I went through 8 Comcast gateways in 2.5 years. Even though the replacements were always free the internet went out at the worst times and I had to wait for a replacement. If this lasts me a year I am at break even over the rental fees. Hopefully it will last many years.

    Replacement modem
Replaced an older modem that I was having issues with dropouts. I have Comcast xfinity, replacement was as simple as hooking it up and letting it connect. Then going to Comcast website to activate. Have had this about 2 weeks, works perfect with no dropouts and faster downloads. Could not be more happy. Highly recommended!
