ASUS TUF gaming laptop
I like my new gaming laptop. It works better than my gaming PC. I guess the new graphics card makes all the difference. The images look very clear and the movement is fast and flawless. I can hear the fans step into high gear--cooling down the chips.

Too Good To Be True It Seems
Loudest fans I've ever encountered in a computer to the point someone asked if there was someone cutting grass while I was on a Skype call. It does allow for the system to run some pretty intense graphics though. Unfortunately, after 3 months of use my system has turned into a brick and refuses to turn on. I can't recommend this product despite it's amazing specs and price. Also, I wasnt aware that the keyboard isn't Aura sync compatible.

    Great Performance
Very good laptop. Can run quite a few games on silent mode with just the integrated graphics. Halo Masterchief Collection runs at 80fps in silent, and over 120fps on performance. Comes with 16gb of ram not 8gb

Sale price no brainer, fans get noisy easy though.
Order on sale for black friday. Got it for $850. At that price I decided it was def worth it. One thing to note, Walmart says it has 8 GB of RAM which I was a bit disapointed with. However the system actually comes with 16 GB of RAM. It says right on the box 8 *2 (meaning 8x2, two 8 GB sticks). So that was a great surprise. The build and look is fantastic. Feels well made and solid, Love how thin it is. RGB keyboard looks and feels great. Nice to have a full size keyboard with num pad. Touchpad is not great. Not bad but I've been getting incorrect inputs somewhat often (like thinking I clicked while I'm scrolling with two fingers). It's just a bit finicky, haven't run the ASUS utility for driver updates yet so there is a chance that new drivers could improve it. Screen looks great IMO. I was surprised to see in Windows settings you can turn on "support HDR streaming" I haven't tried it yet but I enabled it. Getting 144Hz at this price is amazing as well. Not surprsingly the system dose have quite a bit of bloatware on it out of the box. Worst of all IMO is Mcafee of course. Uninstaller for that got stuck, then I had to download Mcafee's special removal tool and that did the trick. Then there is a Mcafee app from the Microsoft store to uninstall but that uninstalled in seconds. Lots of tiles in the start menu for thing I don't want. Random no name games, Office/Office 365 (this is for my niece so don't need that). But these aren't actually fullly installed they are just shortcuts that will install them if you click them so they are easy to get rid of (you still right click and click uninstall). Other than that there actually was no other bloat on the machine. Just Mcafee and some tiles for some garbage app/games from the Windows store (even a clean install of Windows dose that so Microsoft's fault probably). Only two utility programs. MyAsus for warranty/diagnostics etc. ArmouryCrate for controlling the computer. Everything from the RGB keyboard, to what performance mode (quiet, balanced, turbo etc). Now onto the biggest complaint. The fans and noise. This things fans love to ramp up very easily. While gaming it's pretty noisy. Def not a quite laptop. As a tip if you want it as quite as possible press the function key (fn) F5 to change modes. Silent will be quietest of course, then there is performance then turbo. So that's my review. I'll update after I have it a little longer but other than the fans ramping up so easy and their sound I'm very happy with this. For the price I paid on sale it was more than worth it.

    good laptop for the $
picked up on black friday for a nice discount. it is 16gb. on the box it says 8gb*2, which I guess is where the error was. I would have preferred a 4800h processor, but they were out by the time I made the decision to execute. battery life is terrible when doing anything that creates a draw in the system. I only got about 1:15 playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. beginning with a full charge. one of the cooling fans is a little out of balance or has a but of plastic hanging in the way. I'll give it some time to work itself out before contacting asus for service.

    Amazing !
This is my first gaming laptop that I ever had, and I should say that this is one of the high end. Graphics, sounds and speed are all good. Memory and RAM are excellent too! I like the military grade metal finish on the laptop. I already tried playing some of my favorite pc games that requires top notch graphics and system, and it's awesome! My husband tried to play in this laptop too, and he was so amaze! That's why, I order another set of this laptop for him as Christmas gift! :)

Best laptop for the money right now
I did a lot of research for the sub $1000 for a gaming laptop and all roads led me to this laptop. I picked this up while it was on sale ($100 off, $899). It is the best value for the money. It is a Xmas gift for my 11 year old. He plays some FPS, this video card will easily handle any games he can throw at it and the screen is beautiful - 144hz. Played COD 1080P at 60fps, no problem! I highly recommend this laptop, I will get one for myself if it goes on sale again!

    It's decent, but needs improvement
I shopped around a lot before deciding on this one. I have had an ASUS before that I liked very much. Pros- it boots fast (17-20 seconds) and is reliable. I like the feel and response of the keys. It looks like a standard Windows laptop. Black. Not too flashy, with fairly subtle "gamer" cues. Cons- The fans are very loud when gaming. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I realize the CPU and GPU need to be cooled, but I can't imagine that all gaming laptops are this loud. The WASD keys, which are clear, are a nice touch, but the printing is wearing off after a few months. The case is plastic and has a "brushed metal" sort of surface texture on most of the surfaces. It looks cool, but shows fingerprints like crazy. The tiny indicator lights are present above the KB near the screen, but who knows what they indicate. Just like on YOUR laptop. Need a flashlight and magnifying glass to see the tiny, black-on-black icons. The worst thing is that I can't even play Fortnite on the highest settings without my frame rate tanking. According to the specs, this machine should have no problem, but it does. It's OK. I'm not going to replace it. But I would suggest shopping around and paying just a little more if any of these things are a dealbreaker.
