Exceeded my expectations
These Alpine Swiss shoes look better in person than on the website. They are very light weight just as the manufacturer described. I am pleasantly surprized because they are not my preferential brand or style. I hoped for a different color and never in a million years would have considered green. The only color they had that I believe to be a suitable match for my taste is a dark-emerald green color. This selection was great because I don't have anything of this hue in my closet. The external layer of the shoe is draped in mesh. The bottom layer of the shoe is white with unique imprints strategically placed on various rectangles of the bottom of the soles.. The soles are about an inch thick. It almost feels as if you are gliding along the pavement without an Insulated capsule surrounding the foot. The feel of the shoes are light and airy, a stark contrast to the average tennis shoes, which are normally bulky and suffocating. The width provides a lot of room ad space to let the feet breath especially in the warm summer months. I can walk in these all day. They are a flexible fit for my level of comfort. They didn't have these in my size so I got a size bigger. I like the fact that these shoes are unisex so it looks good on any foot. The laces match the dark shade of the shoe. The style is sleek and stylish with a simple design.

    OMGosh, what's not to like¿
    The mesh looks and feels nice, color choices are sweet, and the fit is almost glove-like. This is my 3rd purchase and would buy more if they had more availability for my size/color choices. Oh, and the price? Fuggedaboutit!

    Check and convert the size for women
    I am very picky buying shoes and I usually don't buy shoes on line because I have a problem with my foot and I need to try shoes before buying. This is the first time I ordered online shoes and in terms of the size, it didn't go right. The description indicated that is a unisize shoes and I didn't know that the posted size in the choice box was for men and I had to convert it for women. The size that I ordered fits men and is big for me. I still use it at home and because they are big for me they are very very comfortable. Since I have a narrow foot and bunions, I tight the shoelace very tight and seem very comfortable. It doesn't hurt the bunions and it doesn't let my narrow foot slip or slide in the shoe. The quality of shoes is ok and I like the style, except is not quite my size!!

    Very Stylish
    First let me say they are not for everyday use. These tennis shoes are very dress-up looking. I ordered the white ones and they have this lacy type fabric on them which makes them look like dress shoes, but that's fine. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the sole is very stiff making them hard to break in. The ankle lip is padded and helps prevent rubbing causing blisters, which is a good thing. But style and fit measurements are perfect. These shoes are for both men and women and I can see both sexes wearing them.

    Comfortable sneaker
    This is the first lace up shoe that I've worn since I quit wearing combat boots 25 years ago. I was a confused about the size on the box and in the heel of the sneakers, 12M14W, until I realized that as a unisex shoe it was the (M)ale and (F)emale size of the shoe. The only problem I had with the sneakers was the end of the laces were inside the shoe and I couldn't tighten the laces very well. I removed the laces and relaced them. The laces now end outside the shoe and they're very easy to tighten. I also like the way the laces go through the loop on the tongue of the shoe. It makes it a lot easier putting them on when you don't have to worry about the tongue pushing inside the shoe. The surface of the shoe is a mesh that lets your feet breathe. My feet stayed a lot cooler in the hot weather than my regular sneakers. Most sneakers have a lot of small grooves in the sole that makes them hard to clean if you step in something. These have wider and deeper grooves like the tread of a tire, which would make them easier to clean. The sole has a lot more give than any of my other sneakers, which I think is why it made walking a lot more comfortable. My feet also didn't get tired with a lot of walking on a couple extended shopping trips. Only time will tell how the soles wear.

    The Alpine Swiss Kilian Mesk sneakers are a lot more comfortable than I had expected. They are lightweight and have flexible soles. There is memory foam inserts that make them extra comfy to wear. The outer part of the shoes are mesh. They have a black under layer but you can not see it too much unless you are up close to them. With the outer part of the shoes being mesh, help keep your feet cool. That is a added value especially when your out running, exercising or just outside visiting with friends and family. I would recommend the Alpine Swiss sneakers to anyone looking for comfort and stylish sneakers.

    Good walking sneakers
    I was told I needed to walk more because of my back and right knee surgery. . Also when I work part time I am on my feet a lot . These sneakers are so comfortable to wear. Easy to put on and very lightweight. Being that they are mesh your feet is able to breath and don't sweat as easily as regular close in sneakers. I wore them to make grocery and was in the store for quite a while. When I left my back ached a little which is nothing unusually but my knees and legs felt pretty good. They are also very attractive and look good with jeans, shorts or skirts. I am a senior so I need something comfortable on my feet and these fit the bill. They are for men or women so you can't go wrong buying them. I wear a size 9 in men sneaker and a size 10 in woman size. These are the men size and they fit perfect.

    Very lightweight shoes, good for the listing price
    First off i am usually not a shoe person at all, for the last 3 months I have worn nothing but flip flops each day. That being said, once I received these shoes a part of me opened up to the shoe world. These shoes, while personally not the most stylish shoes I've ever seen, are very lightweight, and very comfortable. The mesh part of the shoe makes it very breathable, and I've noticed while wearing them out the part two days my feet have not been very sweaty, and thankfully for my girlfriend, not as smelly, as they usually are when I wear shoes. Overall, like I said the styling of these shoes won't blow anyone away, but the comfort that they give off is definitely a giant plus.

    The shoes are breathable tops, the soles are ultra flexible and have some weight to them. You may be familiar with cheaper shoes that weigh nothing but these do have a little weight to them and weigh about as much as my Nike running shoes. The weight makes me feel these will hold up better than other shoes. Certainly the soles are quite flexible and can bend and move without cracking. There are two insoles in the shoe; a top one and underneath that there is a memory foam like insert. This makes the shoes very comfortable, and helps them conform to your foot. The top is a mesh fabric and this too will conform to your foot as you wear it, making them more comfy the longer you wear them. The top is fabric, and mesh, but not at all see through. It's actually somewhat thick but breathable. You cannot see socks or feet through the shoe. It is completely opaque in that regard but your feet will not become too hot, and also not to cold. Pretty much a good temperature balance. The color is an overall impression of blue but if you look closely they are actually striped, there are very slight black/grey stripes running from toe to heel. Shoe laces are a brighter solid blue color and there is a loop on the tongues of the shoes to lace through as you would see on any tennis shoe so that the tongue will stay in the center. Although I have not tried yet, these look like they could be washed in the washing machine, but I would take the insoles out before doing so.
