Very Soothing
This soap bar not only moisturizes but calms and soothes skin sensitivities. The faint, barely there, delicate scent that is left behind is mesmerizing, I LOVE that smell on my babies. We are a sensitive skin family and this bar soap is a must have staple in our household. My husband and I also use this soap during the summer to keep our pores clean and unclogged. The only down side to this product is the oatmeal residue that is left behind in the tub and the price, however the soap is natural and the extra expense is very well worth it.

Another Diappointed long time customer
I am very disappointed in the new version of this bar. I have been using it since 1981 and the new formula is terrible. Very waxy unclean feeling after using it. Hard to remain brand loyal when aveeno is not customer loyal. Why would you change such a great and unique product? I will have to find a new product now after all these years. Very frustrating. Please consider going back to the old formula.

    Since around 2000, it's just SOAP
    The change of bar shape and general look signaled the end of my buying Aveeno. Years ago. Sensitive skin...I Don't want/cannot use the 'moisturizing' stuff. I changed to Cetaphil and never bought another bar, or any, Aveeno product. I'd MAKE the old type of little square bar if I had recipe.

    Bar is great, but no PLASTIC PLEASE!
    I bought this bar searching for a more sustainable and healthy facial wash product without SLS, without parabens, without fragrance, without ingredients that sounded alarms, and without plastic. I received the bar in the cardboard box as expected, but was immediately disappointed to find the bar inside unnecessarily wrapped in plastic. It is soap after all, so it does not need to be sealed in a plastic bag, especially when it is already in a box! Very disappointed in this choice of packaging. Nonetheless, I love the bar itself. It has a mild natural earthy/oaty scent without fragrance, and it cleanses well without drying the skin. My skin is left feeling moisturized and soft. The bar soap is great, just PLEASE make the packaging more sustainable and remove the unnecessary plastic or I will need to search for another brand.

    Good, but not as good as it used to be
    Everything has far more unnecessary additives. I first started using Aveene products 60 years ago when I had eczema. Their products were the only things I used. I continue to use them although I think it's time to look into more natural products. The cleansing bar is still the only soap I've used that doesn't make my skin feel dry or like there is some soap residue.

    I just finally finished the last of the aveeno moisturizing bars with the original formula that I had :( I’ve used up the majority of one with the new formula as well and it’s not anywhere near as moisturizing or soothing, it doesn’t lather as well, and the consistency is just overall not nearly as good as the original. From the reviews here, it seems like the new product just isn’t working well for a lot of people and the original formula was holy grail status for many - including myself. Please please please consider bringing back the original formula :(
