Viscous, tacky, shiny, and won't wash off
To begin, this sunscreen may be wonderful for those without hypersensitivities. I am on the autism spectrum, and my experiences will be different than those who aren't. Additionally, I am allergic to chemical sunscreen. Because of this, I have tried various mineral sunscreens with SPF 30 or higher. My current favorite is Bare Republic (abbreviated BR). I order this sunscreen to try and replace my BR due to cost. I ultimately returned this Aveeno sunscreen after one use; it was that bad for me. The packaging is terrible, and the sunscreen actually leaked about 1 fl oz inside the box. After cleaning up the bottle, I decided to try it still. The sunscreen seems very thin in viscosity, however once applied it is very tacky, and feels like honey on my skin. It is difficult to spread, and tugs at your skin to get it done. Immediately after application, my face appeared greasy/oily. I waited 15 minutes to no avail, and dabbed excess shine away. Throughout the day, my face still felt tacky, like Elmer's glue that won't dry. Shine returned, for I do not wear makeup. At the end of my day, I was ready to wash this sunscreen off in the shower. My normal face/body wash removes BR in two washes, leaving my skin clean and fresh. I battled with this Aveeno sunscreen to remove it completely. The tackiness remained despite four washes with my facial cleanser. I attempted to use my body wash to remove the sticky residue to no avail. The bottle advertises water resistant, however, it does not advertise cleanser resistant. These factors are why I will not use this sunscreen again, and ultimately returned the item to Walmart. So far, BR matte mineral (not gel) as been the best option for me. I recommend it due to its silky texture, and decent ability to blend, leaving minimal white cast on my olive skin tone. This Aveeno sunscreen simply does not compare, and is revolting with a viscous, tacky texture that endures throughout the day, and remains still after repeated washes in the shower.

    I'm not burning :-)
I've used this while out on the water for about 2 hours and it kept me from burning. I use it on my neck, arms and legs, so I don't know if it would cause acne breakouts. It is thick and you have to rub it in really well to get rid of the white cast it gives your skin. I'm pretty pale, so it doesn't really matter, but I do feel like even with rubbing it in I'm still left with a shiny white glow to my skin. It's also really hard to wash off. It's better than burning though so I'll buy more!

    Very good product.
Excellent product for sun protection. Just be careful when you squeeze the tube as a lot of the formula comes out. Squeeze ever so lightly, otherwise it's excellent and is non-drying. Thank you.

Time to look at other brands.
The lotion has a tendency to dry in your hand very quickly, so you will use a lot of the product in one body application . Given the cost and how quickly it dries, you have to be diligent in application- you can go through a tube fast. Maximum protection is 2 hours or less. Not much bang for the buck if you are doing multiple applications or if you have a family to protect. Like other sunscreens with zinc oxide it has a tendency to give your face a white pasty and powdery look when dry, overly so in my opinion. If you use a sunscreen agent every day as I do, there are more effective agents.

Good product, but too sensitive for it
I bought this because I am familiar with the brand, and I felt that the quality would be decent. It does blend well, and a little bit goes a very long way, so nothing goes to waste. It's a good product, but I am usually very sensitive to ingredients, and this is no exception.

It's like rubbing Elmer's glue on your face
The goo is so thick it actually hurts to rub in and the white cast never goes away.

    Do not waste your money!!!
This product can only be used by people with the skin tone of paper. The white caste left on skin in the whole aveeno positively mineral line is so bad. I have light skin and it leaves a white ashy/dry looking layer. On my husband, who has darker skin, this product shows up almost purple and doesn't rub in at all (totally unusable). More than that, it has a really grainy texture that feels almost like sand in the product. This is easily the worst sunscreen I've ever used. Further I think companies need to push back against the idea that sunscreen is only for pale people, by making a more inclusive product that doesn't leave a layer of white on the skin.

    Great sun coverage
You only need a small drop on your finger and it covers your whole face. Feels cool to the skin.

    It works but...
This sunscreen is so thick and hard to apply. You literally have to use a good bit of force and really push it into the skin to even kind of spread it. And another thing, because it is so thick and difficult to spread, you miss spots you think you covered and end up with weird lines and sunburns.
