Gets the Deep Dirt!
This Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution with Anti-Bacterial Formula, 1551 carpet shampooer is the best I've ever seen for home use. The brushes get the deep dirt! I know because I have a cat and he has had a few accidents. Unfortunately, I haven't had the carpet cleaned in months. Renting the ones in stores was a hassle and I couldn't afford to hire a company to come in for this small space. After one good scrub, my apartment smelled like it had been professionally cleaned. Believe me, I'm no professional! I'm a 55 year old woman who normally walks with a cane. I had hoped that it would come preassembled but it wasn't, so it sat a few days before I was able to find someone to put it together; however, my friend said I should have tried to do it because it was EASY! It's lighter than I thought which made it easier to use. And I was happy that both types of cleaner were included. I used the deep cleaner first because of the cat and saved the other for touch-ups. I totally recommend this machine for anyone with a carpet. It's also great for throw pillows and furniture

Gives a DEEP Clean
I'm impressed by the deep cleaning I got using this new Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution carpet cleaner, but it didn't conquer all my stains completely. Looking at my pictures, I'm embarrassed to see the amount of dirt and dog hair that was embedded within my carpet, but then again I have three dogs and a child. I vacuumed thoroughly (or so I thought) before shampooing, but am amazed at how many large clumps of dog hair emerged as I used the ProHeat. I had to stop and clean them out of the nozzle often, and Bissell provides a small flexible plastic tool to do just that. My dogs like to mark their territory unfortunately and this machine removed about 80% of those stains only, but they are tough ones, so it is acceptable. I pulled up so much excess dog hair that I needed to re-vacuum after the carpet dried, to remove all those large clumps sitting on top of the now cleaner carpet. I found the machine to be heavy and it gave me quite the workout to move. My old machine had side-by-side, low seated tanks instead of two stacked, and it is the added weight of the top water tank that required more effort to push about on this one. I loved the ease of assembly, the built in tank handles and ease of emptying and re-inserting the tanks into the machine. The cord is super long and sturdy. I did have to use the hand tool for upholstery to clean the carpet where it transitioned to tile. I just couldn't get the machine to clean well there and it left a dark strip. While it removed a lot of ground in dirt, it took approximately 24 hours to dry, even though I made extra passes of suction. So that increased drying time for a deep clean is a trade off for getting a decent clean. Not a perfect cleaner, but pretty darn close.

    I love this shampooer and the attachments I own my own company as a housekeeper all the houses I clean are pet houses there are many many stains on the carpets couches chairs and the proheat revelation gets them all!! Every time I have used this product it has never let me down I have got nothing but rave reviews from my customers!

    I received the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution with Anti-Bacterial Formula and couldn't be happier. I have three young children and when one is sick they are all sick. They still spill things and leave markers and paint on the carpet. So I regularly rent the carpet cleaner from the grociery store and about twice a year have the carpets cleaned in the house. NO MORE! The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution is awesome and in my opinion did a better job of cleaning my carpets. This deep cleaner did just that and was so much easier to use than the rentals. Assembly was very easy and I only needed one tool and had it all done in about five minutes. Cleaning was even easier. For the first time I did the deep clean and the carpets looked beautiful. I made sure to start cleaning the carpet as soon as I came back from dropping off the kids at school and the downstairs carpet was dry by the time they came home from school and the upstairs carpet was dry by bedtime. The kids got a tummy bug two weeks later and had to clean the carpets again but used the express clean mode and was still great. The carpets were dry within an hour and a half. By far a great deep cleaner.

    Easy to use
    I received my Brissell Proheat 2X Revolution Deep Cleaner about a week ago. I have model #1551 this also comes with two small bottles of the Bissell cleaning formula one is for deep cleaning + antibacterial formula and the other bottle is professional deep cleaning formula. I used the Bissell professional deep cleaning formula and this has such a clean pleasant smell to it, it's not overbearing like a lot of cleaners are. I'm getting ahead of myself here. First off I had trouble getting the handle to click in place which is the first step of putting this together it took me a good 20 minutes I had to remove the handle like 3 times, the little hole just wasn't lining up and it wouldn't click into place I was getting frustrated by this time and I've put a lot of different products together before. Yes I always check to make sure that all parts are there before even attempting to put it together I always read the manuels first. Once I got past the first step the rest was a breeze to put together. I like how the tanks are set up, easy to fill and easy to remove for cleaning. This is fairly easy to use and like I said, I've only used it once so far. I feel it did a pretty job so far. I notice after using it on the second room I was getting a lot of like fuzz from the rug and not sure why? I vacuumed first like it said it do. There are two settings for this cleaner and there is a little switch on the side and very easy to use one is for Deep clean mode and the second one is for Express clean mode. This also has a little mesh bag that you can put the other parts in like the hose, the formula etc. This comes with a 3 year warranty and there is an 800 number if you need any help putting it together or have any questions about Brissell Advanced Deep Cleaning System.

    Although the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Deep Cleaner 1551 series arrived unassembled, assembly was quick and easy. It came with assembly instructions, a separate user guide, a mesh accessory bag with a hose and attachments, a nozzle clean out tool, and two eight ounce bottles cleaning formula, which were Bissell Deep Clean Antibacterial formula and Bissell Professional Deep Cleaning formula. There are two cleaning modes for carpet and area rugs: deep clean mode and express clean mode. I used my Bissell ProHeat Deep Cleaner with the Bissell Deep Clean Antibacterial formula in express clean mode. It took approximately an hour for the carpet to dry. The carpet was noticeably cleaner and newer looking. I found using this carpet cleaner to be tedious due to its weight and the number of passes needed to accomplish the cleaning according to the user guide's specifications. Despite that, I was happy with the results. My only other complaints are that it is difficult to clean out the dirty water tank after emptying it and it is also hard to clean the nozzle after use to remove fibers and debris from the machine. One amazing thing about the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Deep Cleaner is the versatility of use. It can be used on carpets, area rugs, and bare floors. There are also a variety of Bissell brand boosters, deodorizers, pretreatments, and cleaning formulas to choose from to get the utmost use out of your machine.

    A PROFESSIONAL CLEAN
    The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution with Anti-Bacterial Formula, 1551 is a fantastic cleaning machine. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver but more powerful than the leading rental. I am so happy to know that I do not have to hire expensive, professional carpet cleaners ever again. I was blown away by how well it worked. We have three fur-babies and they can wreck havoc on the carpets. This machine cleaned the carpets with no trouble at all. The duel DirtLifter Power Brushes with the HeatWave Technology that maintains the hot water temperature can really loosen the dirt and lift the stains. It also comes with attachments for hard to reach places and/or messy accidents. The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution has two cleaning modes: the Deep Clean and the Express Clean for quick clean-ups. I am always worried about germs. That is why I am so pleased about the anti-bacterial formula. It makes me feel better about the cleaning. I am really excited to think of all the money I will save now that I do not have to depend on professional cleaners to clean my carpets. What am I going to do will all the extra money? I think I am going to treat myself to something nice.

    Shampooer did a great job!
    This shampooer did a super good job on all my carpets, it pulled out lots of dirt. Just out of the box my first thought was how attractive it is. A pretty yellow and black. It was very easy to put together, you just have to snap the handle in, snap on the yellow carrying handle, and put in the screw. It is lightweight so it's very easy to push, you don't feel like you've just had a workout after pushing it around. My favorite thing about the machine is the double brush rollers. They do a great job of lifting up the carpet to get down deep. The only thing I didn't like was that the hose and hand tool don't have their own clip on storage space on the machine, so you have to store them just in the storage bag. If they had their own place attached to the machine then it would be faster to switch back and forth to the hand tool. Other than that it's a great shampooer and didn't give me any problems. The clean water tank holds 1 gallon and sits on top. You just lift it straight up to remove it. Filling, dumping and cleaning up afterwards was very easy. When the dirty water tank is full you can hear the suction in the machine shut off, so you know when to dump it. My old machine also does this when the clean water tank is empty. But when this one's clean water is empty it doesn't do anything different. So I had to keep an eye on the clean water level so I knew when to fill it. But it wasn't a problem. When I first filled it I thought the machine was leaking because in the back I could see clean water trickling down onto the dirty water tank below. But what was happening was the clean water tank has an angle on it's top, so when I filled it a little bit of water sat on the top and leaked down the back. So after filling I'd put the cap on and turn it upside down to drain water off the top, then the dripping stopped. It has 2 cleaning modes, you can change from one to the other by pushing the button up or down. The express clean mode is for light cleaning. It doesn't use as much water so it will dry faster. The deep clean mode is what I used the most, the carpet gets wetter to help clean deeper. It came with the accessory bag, hose, hand tool, 2.5 oz fill cap for shampoo, cleaning tool to clean hair and gunk out of the brushes and to clean it out at the foot. And 1 bottle of 8 oz professional shampoo with Scotchgard and 1 bottle of 8 oz deep clean plus antibacterial shampoo. The antibacterial shampoo bottle was unique. The bottle snaps onto the clean water tank then you just squeeze it until the water level line moves up to the next fill line. That made filling it with shampoo really easy. Mine didn't come with the bare floor tool. The hose is 77 inches long, 87 inches with attachment. The power cord is 22 feet long.

    Works Way Better than Expected! Love It!
    It comes in one big box. My husband had to lift it. It took him less than 5 minutes to put together. The only thing you have to put together is the handle. How awesome is that? I have not used many carpet cleaners, because we don't have pets and keep our carpet vacuumed. However, we have spots were I, the klutz, often spill my drinks. Especially next to our bed. I did have to use the manual to figure it out, but, the manual has great pictures and simple instructions. It shows you where to put the water and the solution in the tank. By the way, the solution is easy. It has a spill free spout, where you just connect the colors and put in as much as you need. You need to use the water from your sink, as hot as you can get it. Next to my side of the bed, I have often spilled orange juice, tea, coffee, and even shook a pepto bismo bottle without the lid being put on tight and it spilled everywhere. The pepto bismo stain has been stuck there for months. There was a dark color from the other drinks. No matter how much carpet cleaners I used, none of this would come up. I did as the manual said and pushed the button while slowly pushing it forward twice and back twice for deep stains. I then did the same, about 5 times, without pushing the button on the handle. The stain looked gone. But, I have used carpet cleaners on my hands and knees and the stains always looked gone until it dried. This time, they were really gone. We have even had the carpet professionally cleaned and was told that these stains could not be removed. It did take longer than an hour to dry, but, I used more solution than it said to. The stains were so set in that I wanted to do an extra cleaning. I am very impressed with the job it did. We have a trow rug in our living room, extra shag. It has had a sticky spot on the corner for about 6 months. None of our children know where this came from. I have tried to get the sticky out and no matter what, it was still there. We used this and it took about 4 hours to dry this carpet. But, no more sticky! It seems hard to push through the thick carpet. Once you turn it on, it seems to be self propelled. Our furniture is really clean so we have not used this part yet. I know we will in the future, we have kids and a new baby on the way. I highly recommend this for people with deep, deep down stains, pets, and children. The amount you pay covers one cleaning professionally. And, it is yours for life. The solutions truly work. I am proud of bissell for this one!

    I would recommend this product. Came quickly. Packaged in the box firmly, no damage. Easy to assemble. Nice attatchments. Easy to understand booklet. Easy to use. Works well. Very good suction. With all that being said.... i live in an apartment. The playground is mud and sand. What i was doing is filling a bowl with hot water and dish soap, getting on my hands and knees, and spot cleaning every single spot on my carpets. I have multiple disabilities so needless to say this was a highly painful process to try and go through. I do not drive so i could not rent a carpet cleaner. This is very nice. Fill the top tank around a gallon of water to the line marked on it. Then add the cleaning solution to the second line on the side. Snap it in place on the unit. Plug it in. I use an extention cord but it is meant to do one room at a time i think. Found out slow and steady works best. I have back and neck issues as well as arthritis so i found out you need to take breaks while doing it but.... go over darker spots slowly a few times, works great. You might have to refill it a few times per room depending how bad or good your carpet is starting out. Quick drying time i thought concidering over all. I found it did indeed take out most stains i thought would be permanant that my hand scrubbing could not remove. Suction is so good it sucked up the dirt dust and hair from years of build up deep down that the vacuume could not. Just waited for the carpet to dry then went over the floor again with the vacuume cleaner. The price at the store for the cleaning solution was reasonable i think. I mean it came with 2 bottles medium size of solution but i wanted to make sure i had more for the next time. For the amount of times i will use this i can see this being a very useful product over all. Even if you run it once each season. It will help i live in a state with snow. Yuck. Try as i might my daughter has to walk across carpet to remove her boots or put them on instead of at the door. Frustrating. Repair people come in shoes on tracks across the carpet. Frustrating. No more crawling on my hands and knees scrubbibg literally until my fingers are raw. Bissell is a good quality name. Well thought out product. Nice co,ors even. Came in yellow and grey. Only negitive i can think of but i guess it is understandable is when you take out the dirty water tank on the bottom part, the water gets on your floor a bit. I spread out a towel under it to make sure the nadty dirt would not get back onto the floor or nice days i just took it off on the patio. Whatever works. To get the main area done professionally this would pay for itself with in very few uses. Like i said i really would highly recommend this product. Even if you have a disability that makes chores like this hard like me. :-) doing it a little at a time to keep it clean helps bigtime.
