Absolutely Beautifuk
I received this doll for my girls and I'm in love with her. She is so beautiful I didn't want my girls to play with her. Mattel and the artist who worked to create the Ella Fitzgerald doll took great care to ensure she did not look like a caricature. I love that as an African American woman I can introduce my children to history through play. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Beautiful doll, bad shipping
    This doll was supposed to be part of a collection. The doll itself is lovely; however, someone in Walmart's order fulfillment chain dropped the ball. The doll arrived in a standard bubble envelope as opposed to a box, so her packaging is crushed and makes the doll no longer suitable for collection. That means I have to but another one... that's frustrating and disappointing. Failure to spend an additional $2 on a box on their end will cost me an additional $30. I would have been willing to pay the difference if it had been an option.

    Unhappy with the condition of the box.
    Love the doll, but the box is totally damaged. Very disappointed. I'm not going to return it I'll order another one from the company.

    My queen of scat, finally some love for Ella!
    My excitement when I saw this was in an ad at 7:30am was so real I was at Target the moment they opened the doors to snatch the only one they had. My ONLY complaint is that Ella was a beautiful plus sized woman, and unfortunately this barbie is painfully thin. All the same, having an Ella barbie is more important to me than anything!

    Little damage on front of the box
    Has a little damage on the front of the box as a collector it is not collectible worthy but overall still a good product BUT Overall still a good product.

    Great doll! I love her appearance, outfit, accessories, her chic forms! It is a pity that there is no delivery to Russia, and I overpaid for the ransom. But I do not mind. Ella is wonderful. I love her! I even shot a video on her birthday! Thanks, Mattel! The quality is great!

    She really sparkles!
    My child love unwrapping the new Ella Fitzgerald doll. She thought the doll was so pretty, and elegant. She loves the purple dress one of her favorite colors. The dolls hair curls were perfect. She couldn't wait for me to unbox it. It was a little hard to get out of the box. The microphone is nice it could be a little bit sturdier or even made from plastic and painted silver. She let the Ella Fitzgerald doll perform a concert for her other dolls. Also for her brother. She has enjoyed playing with the doll even let her drive away in a sports car.
