Love this beautiful fan!
I received this Better Homes & Gardens 52" Black Cage Ceiling Fan in exchange for my honest review.
This fan is beautiful, chic and adds a definite touch of class to my living room! The 4 blades are reversible allowing me to choose the best fit for my room, and the 3 lights (included!) make it bright enough for a large room. The variable speeds let you decide on just the perfect amount of air flow for any occasion. I absolutely love this fan..I have shown everyone who visits just how perfect it is! This is a definite 5 stars!

Completely missing pull chains! What?!
I fully installed this whole thing without any problems. Wiring was fine, fan worked, lights turned on fine through house light switch, etc. The fan looked great and operated fine, but when I went to add the light and fan pull chain extenders as the final touch, there were no pull chains to begin with. I even uninstalled the light kit to see if I had forgotten to thread through the chains somewhere. Nope. Nothing. To further add insult to injury, I looked at the picture on the box for reference and there isn't even a hole cut on my light kit for the fan pull chain to even come through. I've seen another review with the same problem so there's no telling how many other customers bought this and had the same issue. Does anyone who has experienced the same issue know how the manufacturer is going to fix this? Really don't want to uninstall the whole thing and return it just to deal with the whole installation process all over again.
**for the pictures i used the box picture for reference. There are no chains to be found anywhere. For the fan pull chain you can clearly see there is a hole for the fan pull chain on the box but it is totally missing on my light kit. As for the light pull chain, you can see the hole it is supposed to be thread through but there is nothing there. I even put it up to a light to show there isnt any chains jammed in the hole.

Super quiet when running and it's big enough to really cool down our larger living room. Install was fairly simple as well. Only downfall so far is that I can only find the basic “yellowish” lights for it and I'd rather have the brighter “day” lights. I have also only checked in store for the bulbs so I'm sure a simple internet search would lead me to the ones I would like. Even though the lights are the yellow tinted it is still pretty bright. I have gotten so many compliments on these fans. (I have 2 in my larger living room) I would definitely recommend! Sorry I can't really get a better picture of them.Bridgette

Installation took about an hour, instructions were simple to read and follow. Having the reversible blades is a plus. Seems to be very quiet, really circulates the air and provides the correct amount of light needed. I love the cage light design, it adds a nice touch to my decor. This is a high quality, great value product that I am very pleased with. I look forward to many years of use from this. Highly recommend, this will not disappoint.suzyq2

Their are 4 blades which are reversible from a dark brown to a medium gray. There are 3 speeds to choose from for the fan. The lights are enclosed in a pewter screen cage. It was easy to intaglio with step by step directions included. Three light bulbs are included.Annie59
