Beautiful, Energy Conserving Blackout Curtain
This blackout curtain panel is 54” (4 foot 6 inches) wide by 84” (7 feet) tall. The front of the curtain is a very nice boucle fabric. It's made from 100% polyester. It's machine washable. The front of the curtain has a multi-level texture that is very attractive and soft to the touch. The rear of the curtain is a white light blocking material. The blackout feature works very well. If you work third shift or take naps while it's still light out you'll love how how much light this curtain can block even on the brightest days. The curtain is very easy to hang with its 3 inch wide rod hanging pockets feature. Just slide the wide pockets over the end of the hanging rod and you're done! This curtain helps conserve energy by keeping interior rooms cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This blackout curtain panel comes with a free 1 year Better Homes & Garden subscription too. A $6 value. I highly recommend the Better Homes & Gardens Boucle Single Window Blackout Panel. It's a wonderful way to enhance the decor of any room in your house while conserving energy and adding a blackout feature too!

Buy for looks, not function
Personally, I wanted these for their looks. I've never seen this texture on a curtain before and I love anything different looking. The grey and white also matched my room. I love that they are fabric backed (instead of that awful plastic coating some use) and they are definitely good, heavy quality (they bent my cheap curtain rod). But. If you're looking for a true blackout curtain, these are not for you. The box says “high” and I would say “low” at best. My apartment is first floor in a wooded area. A tree blocks one of my windows. Needless to say, it's dark in my apartment all the time. Quite a bit of light shown through, and it was dark and rainy when I hung them up. Even the neighbor's lamp post shines through. Not sure why these were marketed as blackout, but still love them.

    I liked everything about these curtains. They were perfect and the price was great! They aren't full blackout curtains but it doesn't somewhat blackout the room which is good. Overall this was a great purchase and I highly recommend. The look of luxury without the high end price

    It's definitely heavy duty, but doesn't weigh down my curtain rod. It's two layers of fabric and has two different loops to hang it from. I like that it's simple and matches pretty much everything else in my home. It handles the washer and dryer great (I washed it with towels to prevent damage). This package is just one curtain panel, so I'll add another and I think some sheers to finish the look. I get morning sun and it definitely helps cut down the heat.

    I recently received the Better Homes & Gardens Boucle Blackout Single Window Panel in Blue. The panel actually measured at 49 in X 83 in while held firmly in hand but not pulling to stretch. The box states it is 50 in X 84 in. And on the site it states 54 in X 84 in. This is concerning for window sizes needing two (or more) panels to achieve a nice hang. My concern with buying separate panels is the possibility of different measurements between panels thus affecting the final appearance once hung. The construction of the panel is very well done. The rod slid easily through the rod pockets and the curtains are light enough that they do not pull down/forward from the weight. I think the light colored backing is more pleasing from the outside than the black that some manufacturers think is needed to achieve true blacking out. The panel looks much lighter in color in direct lighting than when it is hung. When stretched out, there is definitely more light coming through and I would say it is more a soft medium measure of darkening. But when there are folds in the fabric the darkening effect is much better. That is why I am going to find it necessary to buy more than one panel for a window because I think creating those folds is the key to gaining a darkened room with these curtains.

    Great Blackout Curtatins
    Please note that the Curtain is only 1 panel, Which Large Enough, for a Window I'm very impressed by the quality of the fabric. Each curtain is well made with no flaws. I ironed each panel before hanging and they look great. As far as sheerness they are black out curtains and they do their job where that is concerned! I do believe they are a good value for the money. I would definitely recommend these curtains. They work wonders for room darkening. That room is aggressively penetrated but the suns light and these curtains block it out great. Did do a whole lot of noticeable cooling as that room gets extremely hot as well. But I highly recommend for light blocking.     Quality curtains
    Love the heavy duty quality of these curtains. The color is a bit more grey than beige but they are gorgeous. Very happy with it. Looking for a second panel which is out of stock. So make sure you buy 2. Cannot wait to replace the brown ones I have in my living room with these!

    Finally, Stylish, True Light Blocking Curtains
    This panel is made of a nice textured material. The colors are nice and bright with a lot of contrast; true gray and white. The panel isn't too heavy weight. In my opinion this is not your typical blackout curtain, the fabric is not stiff and actually has a lot of movement. The panel uses a double layered approach with a thicker satiny layer on the back while the front is a canvas type medium weight material. This curtain does block out almost all light and two panels are plenty to do a single window, more than enough actually. I can attest that you won't know if it's day or night outside without opening them. Highly recommend for those who work nights and need to sleep during the day!

    Pretty!
    These curtains are very nice and perfect for a subtle yet nice change to any room. At first they looked more gray to me but when I held them up to my beige walls, I could see the beige in it. Personally, they could be used with both a gray and beige room. I want to say they washed and dried well but after washing, I noticed fraying at the seams of the lining underneath where the lining meets the panel. But in all they did wash and especially dried very well. no shrinkage or wrinkles and ready to hang. as far as hanging goes, they aren't heavy or stiff and hang with a nice flow as a curtain should.They do have slats(?) for a rod but I am using clip hangers instead. as far as it being a "blackout" panel, I would say it is more room darkening. the lining is polyester (satin like) rather than with a true blackout panel where the lining is much,much thicker. aside from the fraying,I really like them and would recommend them to others.

    Looking for a blackout curtain, The Better Homes & Gardens Boucle Blackout Curtain Panel, 54 x 84, Gray. Is perfect for any room. Made from 100% polyester, and textured polyester boucle material, and is machine washable. I put this in a room that has direct sunlight and it was perfect. The 3-inch wide rod hanging pockets make it so easy to hang. They come in different colors so you are sure to find one that fits your needs.
