SHOULD HAVE PURCHASED TWO SETS!
This is one of the most beautiful sets I have experienced!!! Beautiful stoneware in light beige color. Would you know it goes with my vintage decor. No chips or cracks, and elegant shine finish. The crest really did it for me. AND..... the shipment came earlier than expected!! On Christmas Eve!!

Dissatisfied With Glaze
I was disappointed with the glaze on the dishes. Lots of small bubbles and in some cases because the glaze was thin or does not cover the entire piece completely it looks like the piece is scratched or chipped. This is obvious on quite a few of the dishes.

    I bought this set over 5 years ago......
    I bought this set over 5 years ago and I am still in love with the look!! It's clean, simple and classic. I noticed that the description said the mugs hold 14 oz. of liquid; this is not true. 14 oz. would NEVER fit in this mug. It is my favorite mug and if it did in fact hold 14 oz. of liquid I would not be online looking for a larger mug. Unless the set now includes mugs that have been made larger, please be aware that the mugs in the set I purchased only hold 10-11 ounces; and that's still near the brim. If the mugs have in fact been made larger, I will go and buy a new set just to get a new larger mug.

    Need More of This Product Line
    After extensive research (Macy's, Sur La Table, Home Goods, Kohls, Crate and Barrel) and more than a year of shopping, I finally decided to try this less expensive dinnerware, simply because I loved the look. I absolutely love it. The finish is much easier to care for and weight and design are perfect. The fact that it was delivered free of charge to my doorstep, well in advance of the projected delivery date was icing on the shopping cake. I want to add dessert bowls and serving pieces but can't find them anywhere. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Love the simple design of this dinnerware, saucer-like shape of the plates and the overall quality. I was only disappointed that the set did not include a smaller bowl option; the bowl included is large (think pasta) so isn't really interchangeable for cereal or small sides.

    I have my home decorated with fleur de lis', so the dishes were a perfect match. I even put some on display in my china cabinet. We will use them for the holidays and haven't actually used them yet, so I cannot advise on quality of use. However, they are very beautiful and impressive and definitely worth the cost. I searched everywhere before I found what I wanted and these dishes in comparison to much pricier department store dishes are a bargain! I am posting a photo, and although you cannot see it in the pic, the fleur de lis shows up clearly in the china cabinet on the plates and cups. They look beautiful.

    Just like the expensive version, but . . . NOT!
    I saw a set of plates similar to these down in New Orleans, and wanted them; but at $300 for service for 8, it just wasn't happening. So, I bought a service for 12 here at WalMart and it was only $111, shipped to my house! So far, so good; they have come out of the dishwasher well, and someone already thought they were the expensive New Orleans plates that we never did buy. Shipped to my house a full week earlier than expected; well-packed for travel. Only had them a week, but so far, so good!

    These BH&G dishes ARE made by Gibson - Photo incl
    These make very nice every day dishes. I just received my three sets. Although I ordered these online, my local WalMart in Raleigh still has them in stock, even replacement pieces individually. The cups are a bit big (14oz) but whatcha gonna do. Since I am from New Orleans, I love my fleur de lis stuff. Serving pieces - platter, bowls - can be found by searching for BH&G Country Crest Serveware. However, I don't see any way to order them. There are records (info pages) for the items but no "add to cart" button or pricing which is confusing. They are made in China by Gibson for BH&G.

    Love Love Love!!!
    I Love this set! I wish there were more items to go with it. I'm getting them little by little. Eventually I will purchase another set so that I have 2 sets and maybe 3. I have a big family and want to have enough for when they visit. I am a New Orleans Native & we are living at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in CA and I was searching for dishes with Fleur de Lis's on them. I couldn't believe that Walmart carried these and that it was so easy to order them. I chose the option of ordering online and shipping it to the store FOR FREE!!!! I ordered it a week before Christmas and there wasn't a delay. I went right to the store and picked them up with no problems. I also loved that I could track the shipping as well. I keep the table set daily and it also reminds me of what else I need to add to the setting. I use them every Sunday for Sunday lunch/supper. This experience was flawless and I will most definitely do it again! Enjoy the photos. Thanks so much!
