Watch out for extra wood in pre drilled holes
Nice bed , I assembled it by myself with the help of my daughter to lift it. It took a few hours to assemble because I couldn't get the screw and bolts to attach correctly, there was extra wood in the pre drilled holes. I used a screw driver and scraped out all of the leftover wood and then everything attached easily. The wood does have small marks and cracks showing through the paint but I think that is the natural texture of the wood. It is more off white than bright white. My kids love it .

Do Not buy this bunkbed
Do not buy this bunkbed. I purchased this item from Walmart.com and hired a handyman to assemble it. After the assembly we found out so many cracks (17 cracks were found). It looks like the item I received was a returned item and the manufacturer tried to repaint all the cracks and sold it again like a new item. Frustrating return process as the item has already been assembled. Those who are going to buy this item, please make sure to check all the parts for cracks before assembly (I missed this step).

    Try it for yourself.
I seen a lot of reviews that said a lot of bad stuff such as bed came damaged or missing pieces but I decided to still buy because I liked the color wasn't the basic brown or black… my purchase came a day sooner than expected and took my husband and I about 2 1/2 hours to put together. We didn't put it together as a bunk but two separate beds… what we didn't like was the instructions only tells you how to put it together as a bunk bed.. in order to get two twin beds you have to put it together as a bunk then disassemble A few pieces to get the two twin beds but we didn't do that we just skipped a few parts that would turn it into a bunk and did the two beds.. all the parts was included nothing missing but a few boards were a little scratched or had cracks in the wood. Also a few of the boards where we had to insert the screw to connect the head/foot boards to the side board the holes were not all the way cut out so we had to kinda use the screw driver to dig the hole back a bit more.. All in all so far a good buy.

    Damaged
Love the style of this bed. Was excited to have a solid wood bed for my kids but one of the holes for the wooden dowels was split which ruined the integrity of the bed.

    Cute! I like it
It looks just like the picture and is very cute! It made my room so much prettier! I like how it doesn't require power tools to build, and the instructions for building are very simple, but it did take around 4-5 hours to build with 3 people. Also, it's definitely fit for kids because I can't sit up straight on the lower bunk even though I'm pretty short (5'2"). I would recommend getting mattresses that are more than 3 inches thick for this because I could very easily feel the frame on my back when I was laying down on a 3 inch thick mattress. I bought and added 3 inch toppers to my mattresses and now it's great! I think it's good quality for the price.

    Solid bunk bed
Many of the other comments had me worried. After assembly this is a very sturdy bunk bed. I was able to assemble in about 2-3 hours. I highly recommended using the QR code on the directions to download an app that guides you step by step with 3d pictures.

This bed is amazing. Great quality, strong, and sturdy. My kids love it. Good purchase for the price. Don't pay attention to any bad reviews. Purchase Asap if you have children and you are looking for a good bunk bed.

Over all nice product and satisfied.
Ordered this for delivery, received two weeks later. Box was a tad damaged but all pieces were there. It took me two hours to put together with the appropriate Allen wrench drill bit.

    Compact. Affordable. Flimsy.
Installed this in a vacation rental property as one of the few bunk bed sets narrow/compact enough to fit two beds in a smaller room. Assembly was nontrivial and two people are definitely recommended. Additionally, support slats are minimal so I ended up supplementing with an additional bed slat twin set purchased separately. Unfortunately within two years' time bed bolts were getting loose (admittedly from adults heavier than the recommended 160 lb limit sleeping in it), leading to noticeable swaying of 1 of 2 beds. Consequently, as a result of some poor behavior on the part of guests sleeping in the room, one of the bunk bed's connecting dowels broke and the entire top bunk slipped off the bottom which due to the non removable integrated ladder, cracked the side support beam and rendered the top bunk unusable. The fact that the top and bottom bunks are held in place by what amounts to little more than a tiny IKEA wooden dowel is concerning and would be far better secured by a legitimate metal pin that can't so easily snap in half. Again, this was younger adults likely acting in a manner not conducive to general bunk bed safety, but anyone that's raised/seen/witnessed children have a pretty good sense of how well they follow rules when no one's looking. Overall, a good/affordable bunk bed set, just be prepared to retighten bolts on a regular basis, find better connecting dowels, and secure additional twin bed slats to make up for the minimum support provided by the ones included.
