Great transfer, good blu-ray
Short and sweet: This is a great transfer considering the age of the source material. I'd like to see more extras, but the picture and sound of the main feature make up for it.

    Great, but not as advertised
    It's an incredible film, the Blu-Ray shows it in a clarity that's better than I've ever seen it before, the commentary track w/ Carpenter & Russell is a can't-miss if you're a big fan, and the music video included is a true 80s relic. Just as important is the fact that this is $5, which is a touch steeper than the price of just RENTING IT on Amazon. That being said, the purist in me has one problem that I can pretty much overlook, but it's quite frustrating in that it could be simply remedied: The sleeve portrayed via the thumbnail picture (the white one with the drawing on the front). It's cool-looking, it gives the Blu-Ray a "limited edition" feel, and it classes up things a bit. Wouldn't you agree? Well, THAT'S NOT INCLUDED. Just the revamped art cover (refer to the 2nd thumbnail picture) that's neat, but looks more like fan art and nothing nearly as aesthetically pleasing as the original promo materials/VHS covers. It evoked a "sad trombone" moment when I open up the package at my local Walmart, but it's not a deal breaker for me; it might be for you, however, and that's why I'm mentioning it. It would behoove Walmart to remove that sleeve preview pic altogether for the sake of transparency. Again, other than that little disappointment, everything's as-is and as anticipated.

    one of the best movies ever made
    a perfect blend of action and comedy. its a crime a sequel was never made. a must for any collection. I could watch this anytime.

    I gave the movie 5 stars because I know it is a great movie. Lots of fun. The movie is actually a Christmas gift so I can't say whether or not the DVD works properly.

    Big Trouble in Little China
    This movie is an action movie with lots of comic relief in it. Kurt Russell plays truck driver who is led through circumstances into the realm of Chinese magic and maiden rescues. Great movie that I highly recommend.

    Great Movie, Best Picture
    This movie is excellent with the absolute BEST special effects which made it way ahead of its time. This is the best picture quality that this movie has ever seen in a release. If you are a fan of this classic, then you MUST BUY the Blu Ray. Sound quality is GREAT too.

    Best Kurt Russell Movie Ever
    One of my favorite movies of all time. This movie has it all great kung fu, chinese black magic, great action, and best of all; the great quotes: "Chiniese have a lot of hells", "you are not put on this earth to get it", and "go off to rule the universe or check into a pycho ward first" If you want to see a movie where the lead actor and star of the movie is the side kick, this is you movie. Check it out, you'll be happy you did
