the mic is really good for the price crisp & clear
its good for you tubers starting on yt or just in the middle of yt the snowball ice is more of starting out on yt this mic is crisp and clear the design is nice its just under the blue yeti and the blue nessie so go get this mic your not wasting your money but the down side is you kinda need a pop filter so you don't get those pa,pu,ba,bu noise overall a great mic :D

not what i was expecting
I went to pick up my (new) Blue Snowball mic from my home town wal-mart I was so excited at the prospect of making my clean warm recording at home I saw so many wonderful reviews on it! then i unpacked it and first off the little BLUE logo on the mic stand was knocked out and laying in the bag. I plugged in my mic made sure the setting were all right and made a sample recording - it was very very low in volume but the recording WAS clean - so i waited till later for the most quiet time to record my track. This time when i heard my play back the sound was totally distorted and i sounded like a robot! i had a friend who went to school for computer tech try to help me with it because he does music over the computer also but nothing we did worked. my estimation is this, it must have been during shipping it was ruined because everyone else i know has great results with this mic. The logo being popped out was the clue. The Blue Snowball i bought here was 58.03 with tax now they have them listed for $86.58 this is only 4 days later. Did wal-mart sell me a used product with out listing it as such? That might be another reason ? I will take this back and try once more.

    Great Microphone
    I love this microphone! Not only does it look really cool, but it more than does the job. I do a lot of recording on-line and I am very happy with the way this microphone picks up my voice. A peer recommended it to me and I was not let down.

    A good alternative to old fashioned microphones
    I needed a microphone for use with my Mac Mini and had problems with conventional mikes. The Blue USB mike works well for me - I would like it to be a bit more sensitive because I have to turn the volume up full for voice recording into GarageBand.
