I picked this up in store to let my 7 month old play with it, she loved it so much it came home with us! haha. It is her favorite! She smacks in and even loves turning it on and off. Even grandpa loves it! The songs are different, they aren't the same generic ones you've heard over and over. Also amazing for tummy time!

    My grandson loves this
    Purchased as Christmas gift for my eight-month old grandson. He opened several toy gifts before opening the Bright Starts Safari Beats Drum and he wasn't very excited about any of them. He finally seemed interested and enthused about this item. Great product for babies/toddlers.

    The order can earlier than expected which I did like, but it was just sitting on my porch. It was a Christmas gift for my grand son and it was not inside of a box or at least a bag. Anyone could have easily walked by a picked it up because you could see exactly what it was. If thats just how items are usually left I would have at least appreciated the door bell being rang so someone could have brought it inside of the house. Il

    Loved and beat daily for a year
    Bought this for my son, because he was all about light n sound toys. But so many toys aren't very loud at all. However, this drum set was a beast! Not only was it loud, but it lasted for a year on the one set of batteries! And that is saying a lot, because he played with those drums every single day for long periods of time each day. And my boy's idea of playing is to beat on things--hard! So to recap, this toy drum set lasted 1 year without ever needing batteries changed. It got played with for hours every single day. It was beat on almost constantly during play. And it had just now began to malfunction. My son is now 14 months old and 2 of the 3 drums still work. But 1 gets stuck making a weird static noise. I'd say we got our money's worth. I'm seriously considering getting him another one.

    sound stopped working
    Not sure if i just got a poorly built one, but the day after we got it baby played with it a bit, then the next morning the sound wouldn't work unless you push on the speaker with some pressure. Still lights up fine just no music which is kinda the point of the toy..
