Poorly made
Pieces came without holes drilled making assembly impossible. I tried to drill my own holes but the wood composite is to flakey. Ordered a replacement piece and wrong one was sent. Still waiting on the correct piece to be mailed. Would not recommend due since I still don't have a functioning desk. The colors are nice, the actual desk top itself is sturdy but it doesn't matter if I can't assemble it

Desk gets a higher rating than the hutch.
First, this is antique white and definitely more creamy than any of the online pictures. If I had to do it again, I would make sure I went and looked at the color in the store. It's a nice color, I just like white. My rating is not affected by the color - that's my personal preference. The desk went together easily and seems sturdy and well made. The desk would get a 4 rating alone. The hutch is a HUGE disappointment on all accounts and not worth the money. 1st - It came damanged. Bush was great about replacing the part, but it slowed down assembly. Assembly was a lot harder and hutch got damaged as I worked on it. I did not have this problem with the desk or filing cabinet assembly. It was fragile and feels a lot cheaper than the related desk and filing cabinet I have assembled. I am still not exactly sure what happened, but I think when I had to move it I may have created stress fractures in the top piece. Yes, the assembly instructions said I should get assistance from someone, but I live alone and tried to be careful. Also, it could be from the fact that some of the pre-drilled holes in piece A seemed shallow on this one and I have been unable to assemble it without brute force. I am going to go out and get some washers to help with the screws I cannot get in all the way. I am tempted to return the hutch, but I am conflicted about how much of the damage is from my error vs just a really poor design. Also, i don't even know how I would get it in my car. If a hutch is important, I would find another deskset.
