I will never buy another product from Char Griller!
I used it one time and the paint peeled off! I communicated this to Char Griller and they responded with "I used to much charcoal" . The smoker box worked well enough, but the company does not stand behind their products! End results Smoker box is good (maybe 3 stars) company is bad (less than 1 star). I would recommend looking at other brands!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Really disappointed in quality of construction
    New out of the box, 2 of the spot welds holding the ash pan to the damper had broke off. As I looked at the SFB closer, I noticed that the box is spot welded together, not full beads. The welds that broke, broke cleanly meaning the torch was not hot enough to penetrtate the second layer of metal. Another thing I noticed was that this box does NOT mate up to the Outlaw 2137. Either that, or the holes are so far offset on the 2137 stabilizer bars, they will not line up with the bolts and spacers. I attached the SFB to the side of the grill, attempted to secure the box to the leg brace, like on the last one I had. Nope. The holes are no where near the position they need to be in to brace it and the spacers they sent are way too long. There were also no instructions included, just a pamphlet saying to season the grill grates first. As someone who used to weld NHRA / IHRA chassis for a living, I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the welding on this unit. My advice to the company? FULL BEAD WELDS on EVERY SEAM. Take the hit on the cost, take the time, and increase your reputation on quality.

    Disappointed in the quality
    The lid is warped handle is not square and had a huge dent when it arrived paint baked off first time I used it but it will work just disappointed that it isn't the quality as the grill

    Char Griller, the best!
    This is the second one I have purchased. The first is in a 2121 Super Pro, which I still use, and this one is on a 5650 Double Play, family shrank. Absolutely love them for both smoking and baking lasagna on the grill. Char Griller is awesome.

    Pleased with purchase.
    Very pleased. Failed to get one on the initial purchase. Added later to the grill and are very pleased. Well sealed and has a steady temp as a result.

    Love the addition
    Went together easy and it built well. I would have given 5 stars but after just a few uses a little bit of the piant is coming off right around the opening of the door, no big deal, I just grabbed some high heat grill paint and fixed it right up but would have been nice not to have to. All in all for the price it is a great addition to any chargriller

    Third one, perfect for our grilling needs. Sets on stone table on corner of porch, exposed to rain. Bottom charcoal tray burns out on slide edges in about out a year, makes it hard to slide in with hot charcoal. The last one the grill grates support across the front failed first. I removed the light metal angle and replaced with the bolt on handles from the last years grill for grate support. Currently still in use, will replace with new one once I get the chance to assemble it.
