Adequate.
They are adequate as normal socks but they have almost no compression. I have large calves, so on someone with normal calves it seems they might be feel loose. I found them to be the right length, which was nice, as most others I have tried have come up over my knees (I'm 5'4"). They got two stars instead of one because they fit me, and that's hard to find. They would have gotten 3 stars if solid black. The gold stripes show in loafers or mary jane style shoes so they are only wearable in lace up shoes or boots.

    In love!
    I wear compression socks everyday due to my edema which makes my feet and legs swell up with fluid. Typically, for me compression socks aren't so comfortable after being worn for long periods of time. I also had the troubles with putting on and removing them. After purchasing these compression socks I will never again buy any other brand. They are remarkable when it comes to putting them on as they are taking off. They provide all-day comfort and they're just perfect when it comes to firmness.

    Great compression socks
    These socks are easy to pull up, stay in place all the time I have them on which is 10 hours, and they are easy to wash. They stay in place even after being washed and don't leave a line at your knee either. Great pair of socks!
