This is one fantastic product and so inexpensive
Fantastic chair. REally comfortable, cushy. I love the separate ottoman leg rest, better than a standard recliner that leaves your ankles and feet dangling off. I put the ottoman at the distance that's right for me plus can use it as sitting stool if needed. Chair assembly was very easy, holes lined up great. I am 6 ft tall, average height and the headrest hits me in the middle of my head, which concerned me a bit, but now it is actually just right. It comes with a separate lumbar cushion, which has a long cord coming out of it and an in-line on/off switch. But it has a USB plug on the end of the cord, not a wall outlet plug end, so I don't know what i am supposed to do with this. I think the Walmart site info mentioned a lumbar massage feature, the cushion feels like something is inside, but there are no instructions in the literature that came in the box, and no website address for the Costway company. I'll have to hunt them down on the web and ask about this, although massaging isn't important to me. I love, love this chair, a real quality unit. One other thing is that it sits lower to the ground than other chairs, but that actually is really great and doesn't bother me at all.

Bad choice!
Delivery was very slow. Chair is not leather but vinyl. The colour is brown NOT black as Stated in the blurb. I would advise caution in purchasing this chair.

Not very comfortable; broke after 9 months
For reference, I'm 5'9," average weight. I used this chair daily for 8-9 months. None of the issues were big enough for me to get rid of it, but I wouldn't buy it again. 1) Neither the chair nor ottoman are height-adjustable, which was a problem for two reasons: a) The chair was actually a little high for me, which meant it dug into my thighs when my heels were on the floor. The ottoman would solve this, except b) the ottoman is a little low, which put strain on the back of my knees and made the edges of the chair and ottoman dig into my thighs and calves. 2) There is no lower-back support, so I had to supplement with a pillow. 3) The legs (under the leather-covered disk) are not designed well: they are spot-welded to the pillar (instead of being a single molded unit), which means all the stresses, especially side-pressure (like getting in/out of the chair), go to the welds, not to the legs. About 8-9 months after purchase, I was just sitting there when the welds snapped; the center post broke through and the chair fell over, almost with me in it. This actually sounds like an awful review, but there aren't a ton of great alternatives below $200, so it gets a couple stars for showing up.

This item is a beautiful & comfortable addition for almost any room in your house.
It is sturdy & remarkably comfortable. I love the design & the materials. I have been repeatably complimented on it's style, & on the relaxing & comfortable experience it affords. A good choice in purchasing on every point.

    Pleasantly Surprised
Though it doesn't match up to my broken recliner, which was a top of the line model in it's day, I was so very pleasantly surprised with this purchase. For the price, I expected this to be tolerable but lacking. But it arrived on schedule, was easy to assemble (I'm 70, so that's saying something!), and I found the seating comfortable while my arthritic knee finally settle down and quit bitching. Fits my budget and is a perfect go between until I can purchase a new recliner. At which point, my son has already put in a request to inherit this one. :-)

    Comfortable chair, runs small
This chair runs small but is perfect for the space I intended (not for a large person). Value is good. Assembly instructions totally pictorial, which works. Assembly not a breeze but not too difficult, either. Chair is comfortable. I would recommend, especially for a smaller space. I am pleased with my purchase.

    Leans back crazily
I thought this chair was the same as a similar chair I had that had worn out. It's not - it's considerably taller and a bit narrower, with lower armrests, which is on me for not figuring out from the measurements, I guess, but does mean I can't easily reach the floor with my feet while seated and am slightly more cramped when I want to cross my legs and have more trouble supporting my elbows when I'm nursing a baby. And also when I assembled it it was tilted considerably back in its least reclined position. This isn't exactly uncomfortable, if what I want to do is inspect my ceiling or take a nap, but if I want to look at my laptop it's extremely unfriendly to that aim. I wound up propping up the back end of the base with a couple inches of books, which doesn't help with the height problem at all but at least gets the angle more tolerable. Even with the adjustment wheel tightened all the way, it's very easy to accidentally further recline the chair back by changing position in the seat. Or by trying to swivel; it *can* swivel, but only with moderate reluctance. The only reason I haven't returned this chair is that it would have required disassembling it again and packing it back up; and in the time since then my old chair broke down to the point where it's dangerous to sit in, so now I have to use this one until I find an actually good chair that meets my needs.

    A Solid 4 Stars
The chair is pretty good value for the price. It was easy to assemble and stands firmly on the floor. Since the reclining pivot point is at the back of the arms, you can see that for the back to recline, the seat must slide forward. Odd design to me but it works rather well. For me, a lumber roll seems to add a little comfort. For my legs I'd prefer the seat set about 1 1/2 inches lower so my feet are flat on the floor when seated; it's a little high for my leg height; I'm 5'8". The leather type material seems to be holding up so far, no rips or anything at stress points. All in all, I'm pleased enough to keep it. It looks cool in my mancave and I like kicking back to a movie with my cat.

Comfortable but maybe not good for larger people
Nice and comfortable and doesn't push my head forward like so many other recliners. I weigh about 175 pounds and it's perfect for me. I wouldn't recommend it for larger size people, however. It's on the small side.

    Smart Purchase
I love this chair. If you need a little extra back support and care, it comes with a lumbar pillow which can also vibrate if you want. I had neurosurgery on my back and this chair works wonderfully. I didn't put it together, but my son did. He did complain that the directions are only in pictures and no accompanying text. But, all of the chairs are a pain. He assembled it though. It took him maybe 15-20 minutes.
