nice glow paint
I received the Creativity for Kids rock painting kit. This little box comes with some acrylic paint and also glow paint. Believe it or not it also comes with the rocks in the package. I was not sure if it came with rocks and it does. I used this kit with my 9 year old and also 6 year old. We first started with the acrylic paint. The white and black realy do show up well on the rocks. The other colors are kind of transparent. I think next time I would paint the whole rock white or black a few hours before you want to use this kit. Then if you paint pink over the white it would really be more vibrant. I would do that before the kids start with the other colors because it was hard for my six year old to wait for the base coat to dry. I think the best part about this was the glow paint. It comes in tubes almost like a paint pen and you can do diff shapes. The acrylic paint is applied with a brush and these are in a pen shape. The glow paint is very nice to apply dots, circles and shapes. My 9 year old really loved this project and there is plenty of paint to keep painting more rocks. The glow paint does work, but the green glow paint really does glow a lot! The other colors are more subtle glow but that green does stand out! The kids liked seeing their rocks glow after it was all done. Cute little activity for many ages.

Disappointed
Received this as a review product and thankful I didn't pay for it. My granddaughter and I were very excited to have another project to do together. But we weren't too happy once the kit arrived. We were disappointed that the rocks inside were small, rough and jagged, which do not provide a good surface for painting. Nothing like it looks on the box. There wasn't enough paint For all of the rocks. There should be double the paint , as the tiny tubs just don't have enough for half the amount of stones. There were only two brushes, and they were of very poor quality. I definitely can't recommend this product.

This was so much fun. And I added a sealant to be able to put outside and they still glow in the dark.

    Great product!
Overall, I am pretty happy with the Creativity for Kids glow in the dark rock painting kit. I love that the kit came with 10 rocks, two paintbrushes, water-resistant fluorescent paint in a variety of colors and glow in the dark paint. I think the minimum age of 6 is a good age for this kit. I think a child under 6 may not be able to easily paint the rocks. I love that the glow in the dark and fluorescent paints are water-resistant – it makes them perfect for use outdoors without the worry of weather ruining the paintings. Ten rocks was a great amount to have in the kit. The rocks were a great size, which made it easy to hold them while painting, and they were large enough to be able to paint something on the rock. The paint was easy to use and stuck to the rocks pretty easily – it wasn't too runny. The glow in the dark paint seemed to work pretty well and the rocks could still be found fairly easily once it got dark outside. I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone that loves painting rocks and wants to have some glow in the dark ones!

My kids LOVED this fun set!!
So I am a regular crafty mom keeper because I have kids who Love to paint, build, create and make stuff. This one was on the win list! I have 3 boys who are 9, 10, and 12 so the kids I had using these are older and experienced with paints. The kit was Pretty basic and easy to use upon opening. We simply laid everything out and I let them make their own. We ended up with 1 they didnt like but after we learned from that one (take care not to lay it on too thick) I did a few drawings with a Black Sharpie and the kids painted them. They turned out Epic and we are hiding them around the local park. The paint was quality thickness that wasnt too runny which I appreciated. They did not test out the Glowing really. We tried to see how bright it would get and it absolutely had some effect in the dusk! You could see a shine. But it's not like anything bright. But the colors themselves are really bright and it would be great fun I think for younger kids to see even a bit of glow.

    Great craft for all ages!
My children between ages 3-10 loved the Glow in the Dark Rock Painting Kit. It was easy to do and didn't require much adult help for them. They were able to express their creativity with painting the rocks any way they liked. The paints were easy to use and clean up. The glow in the dark puff paint glowed really well! I was surprised by how well it worked and the puff paint remained puffy on top of the rocks and dried overnight. I was impressed by how well the paint worked and glowed! My children loved taking the rocks in the dark to watch them glow. They haven't taken them outside yet because they've enjoyed playing with them too much.

    Great Outdoor Activity for Kids!
I received this item free to write a review. My daughter and her friends already have a rock "collection" that they have been using normal paint on and creating beds and houses and things for them so this was the perfect surprise for her and her friends. I suggest the painting be done outside. It can get messy with a lot of kids doing it. It comes with 2 paint brushes but I had extras at home so this entertained 5 kids for a while. The paints included in this kit are glow in the dark/fluorescent colors. Once the kids paint the rocks (10 included in kit) I suggest leaving them outside in sunlight and then bring them in after dark and they look really cool. The kids painted the rocks that came in the kit and other random rocks they found outside. The colors are pastel colors, but they are still vibrant. There were face rocks, star rocks, rainbow rocks, monster rocks, the creativity is limitless and the kids had a great time! I will definitely get this again for when she has more sleepovers and it would be a really fun activity for birthday parties too!

    Painting Fun
I have mixed reviews on this kit. The rocks are very small and makes painting difficult for little ones. The paint pens glob out when using so you have to be extremely careful when using them. It makes a mess quickly. The paint takes a long time to dry which makes it difficult to get your kids to understand. We left to dry for a full 24 hours and still had paint come off on the kids' hands the next day. The glow in the dark paint isn't as glow in the dark as you would think. You can barely make out what it is and it is very dim. My teenager helped the littles and even she had a lot of problems. The kids quickly lost interest in them. Fun idea, just think there needs to be improvements in the kit overall.

Fun and Easy to Do Craft
I am a Spark Reviewer for Walmart and was sent a free Glow In The Dark Rock Painting Kit by Creativity for Kids to review. This kit is a complete kit with everything included. It comes with two bags of rocks. Each bag has five rocks in it. The rocks are all about 2 ½” x almost 2”. All of them come with at least one flat side. The paints include six little pots of base acrylic paints to put a base layer on the rock. The pots are closable so you can always do a few rocks at a time. Then there are five tubes of glow in the dark acrylic paints. The tubes unscrew and the points are slim so you can squeeze the paint out without using any brushes if you want. There are two paint brushes included, one a wider one to paint the base and one a very narrow one for details. There are tracking stickers included if you want to place them on the bottoms of the rocks and post pictures on Facebook or Instagram and the website for Creativity for Kids. I found this kit to be a lot of fun. My teenage grandson, my husband and I all painted a rock. We washed and dried the rocks as directed then painted the base colors we wanted. We let them dry (about 30 minutes depending on how thick of base you do). Then we used the colored tubes. I found that using toothpicks to add detail worked nicely. We let them dry which took a few hours. I left them out under a front room lamp for about an hour then turned off all the lights. The rocks glowed nicely. I tried to take a good picture of them glowing, but my camera kept using the flash, so it is hard to see, but they really do glow. One of the things I really like about this kit is the resealable paints so we can do another project later. This is nice for kids from about 6 and up. Fun to do on a rainy, snowy day, days when they are bored or just a fun way to spend some family time with the kids.

    Fun with paint
This is great for anyone who likes to be creative or paint. The set comes with a few different colors of paint but there are so many designs you can paint on these rocks. Just make sure you wash the rocks and let them dry prior to painting on them. The tubes of paint really do glow in the dark.
