I bought this to be able to communicate with my computer to do searches and eliminate some typing. It works very well! Looks nice!

Works for the prcie
You get exactly what it states...a microphone with an on/off button and a volume control. Do wish there was a definitive mute button to make sure where you stand when using the microphone. Quality is clear though and works better than having to wear a headset every time I need to talk on Skype or Zoom.

Installation was a breeze I just had to plug the usb into the back of my computer and it worked, no program to install It picks up my voice from about 18" away so I don't have to bend over it, All in all a great product for the price and what I need it to do.Kwags

This just plugs in and it is ready to use. I did not have a problem with volume or clarity. It did the job for which I purchased it and was an excellent purchase for the price. I am not certain that it would stand up well to heavy duty use, but for occasional use it is an excellent product. I would recommend this microphone - very good product for the price!neverby2

I can do google voice search even at my workstation which is a pretty noisy area with a desk fan, a box fan, and several computer cooling fans. Not a deafening background noise, but far from quiet. Aside from a disturbingly thin cable, the mic feels solid, not "cheap." The mic installed on my Windows 7 64 bit computer just fine without needing new drivers, which was good, since there is no driver disc included. The mic also seems to play nice with my other mic on my headset, which is usually muted. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I like having an on/off (or "mute") switch to disable the thing when I want to. Overall, this gadget meets my needs and I'm very happy for the price. ===================================== Drawbacks-- or things keeping it from being perfect: -- the mic has a weird cable with usb on one end, a curvy block in the middle with a blue power light, and no plug at the microphone end. The half of the cable after the box is very thin. It would have been much better if the mic was made for using a simple, standard usb cable that could unplug at both ends. It wouldn't matter if the socket at the mic end was a usb micro or the full sized usb A, since they are both so common now. -- The mute switch looks just like a push on/push off button, but it's really a slide switch. That was confusing at first. --The mic is light enough and the mute switch stiff enough that you have to hold the base down with one hand while sliding the mute switch with the other. A push on/off button wouldn't need two hands to operate. A bit of Velcro to hold the mic down fixed this issue for me. -- the indicator light is on a block right in the middle of the cable. Why on Earth did they do that? They would have been much better off having no power light at all. In the end, this would be a perfect little business or home desktop mic if they: 1. Used a standard usb cable unpluggable at both ends. 2. Replaced the mute switch with a push on/off button 3. Instead of a power light lost in the middle of the cable, I wish they had a lighted mute button, maybe a blue light to indicate muted and red to indicate a "hot" mic.rdbffffhg

It has a nice volume adjustment so I can set how easily it detects my voice, and it also extends up plenty to be able to work with. Very pleased with this microphone, and not a bad price at just under $20.iPhoneMan
