Great portable A/C
So far this air conditioner is great. Cools my basement great. My basement is not totally underground so it doesn't stay as cool as most. We are waiting to see the electric bill and we may get one for upstairs.

I thought I was going to like it until the P1 code came on telling me to empty the bottom tray. I had to unplug it, remove the hose and wheel it to my garage to empty. It did not say that it needed to be drained regularly. It was only running for 4 hours and it was NOT on dehumidify. I am going to try to return it.

    I'm so cool!
    I love that the unit was delivered on time. I love that the delivery guy delivered it to inside my front door, friendly and pleasantly. I love that setting everything up was almost a piece of cake. It took a little long because my windows are sliders...but my modification worked with just a little insulation tape. And, finally, I love how everything works! Hint; if you're vascillating about the size for your purchase, but up.

    Difficult to secure hose properly.
    Cheap plastic connector to the piece that sits in the window. Very hard to keep connected. Hose does not fit tight. Hot air leaks from the connection. Will have to tape it.

    Good deal at $479.
    This may be too soon, but it's working fine as it should, I let it set over 24hrs to settle. One big thing, is BTU ratings are being messed with, it says it's an 8000 BTU unit on the ID tag, so to verify you got the right model, use model numbers to identify it. There are 2 types of BTU ratings now, so they're confusing.

    Great air conditioner
    This is a great little air conditioner! We have it in the living room of our 900 square foot and it cools the whole apartment with the help of a couple of fans to direct the cool air into the other rooms. It is quieter than we were expecting, one of our fans is louder than the air conditioner. My only complaint is FedEx lost it for a week so it got here after the heatwave, instead of before like it was supposed to.

    Buy the higher btu, the 8,000 is really only 5,500
    Love the air conditioner, but disappointed they call it an 8,000 btu, when is really a 5,500 btu. I would of bought the bigger one if the description would not have been deceptive!

    works fine and i am happy with this purchase
    easy setup and positioning in the home where it will reside. directions were easy to follow. arrived on time with no apparent damage. cools real fast. has one of those plugs that goes off when something is not right so as to protect the unit. overall a positive experience. would recommend to others.

    It is to help lessen the burden on my 5th wheels one 15K unit. Its cut down on run time of the main unit. It much quieter than main unit also.
