Great fan/heater
I have always wanted to get one of the Dyson Hot+Cool Fan Heaters, I was very curious of how a fan worked without blades, because I have grandchildren and just seems so much safer. I like that it has a heater also because where I live we have propane gas which sometimes we run out of and I have to drag out the tower heaters, but with this it's always out because I like to sleep with a fan not only for the air but for the white noise I can't sleep when it's silent. I like that it has a remote control with all the commands you need to command it. I haven't got to use the heater because it's still summer and don't need it yet. As far as the fan I love it it's not a direct blow you down flow, there is a setting which makes it blow a wide flow also, and works for the heater as well. when the fan is on high (10) it's pretty loud to me maybe even louder then a regular fan, but I like the noise to sleep so doesn't bother me at all lol. It can be adjusted up or down and oscillates.One of the only flaws it has is the lights on the front of the fan are bright and light up the room at night which bother me is like a night light on would be nice if they dimmed at night. I have it on a counter because I think it's to short to be on the floor and to be able to reach me. I like that it's going to be easy to clean unlike a regular fan the blades are impossible to get to, to clean. I would recommend it if your looking for a new fan.

    Terrible Product - No NOT Buy!
    DO NOT BUY! This product will pluaged with issues that their technical support team refuses to acknowledge! They will just tell you restart the device to see if it help! This device will randomly by it self turn on! This is a major issue and I warn you do not buy!!

    A nice personal fan/heater
    My son has a Dyson fan that I use when I visit him and I love it. So when I got the opportunity to get one I jumped at it and requested the Dyson Hot + Cool AM09 fan and was very excited when I received it. It was packaged nicely with only the round base that needs to be installed by twisting it onto the bottom of the fan. I was a bit surprised at the size though, it stands about two feet tall and I was expecting a taller fan, (my son’s is a little over three feet tall). The electrical cord is about six feet long and is heavy duty with a 2 prong plug, (US model). It comes with a remote control that is secured on top of the fan by a magnet. The fan has what Dyson calls a jet focus control for a narrow long range air output (it blows right at you) or a wide projection output to mix with the surrounding air in the room. I find this fan to be more of personal use fan that would work well in an office or a room that you just want to have air circulating in. There are other fans on the market that cost a lot less and move a lot more air. I don’t find myself needing to just circulate air. I want a fan that will cool me down quickly and move a lot of air. But the Dyson is in my opinion one if not the best looking fans on the market today. With no blades exposed it is very safe to have around the house with children. But you lose the ability to talk through the fan and sound funny. I think all kids need that in their lives. This fan can be used year round with a built in heater that I find works very well. It has a thermostat that you can set anywhere from 33 to 99 degrees and it will warm up a room in a sort period. But once again you can pick up a heater for much less that works almost as good as the Dyson. It has a sleep timer that you can set for 15, 30 or 45 minutes or 1 to 9 hours. It has an oscillation of about 80 degrees that you can start/stop in any direction with the remote and it can tilt up or down manually about 10 degrees. Overall I like the little Dyson Hot + Cool, but for the money, I would get a more powerful fan and a nice space heater for about a third of the price. I hope this helps.

    Great fan for all year long
    The Dyson Hot + Cool is a great fan, I love that it has 2 functions in 1. It's not heavy so it's easy to take from one room into another. It's more of a "personal" fan although there is a diffuse mode that helps cool or heat up a room. The fan already comes assembled and all that you have to do is snap it into the base which is simple and only takes seconds. Both the hot and cold functions work well, although I will add that I was a little disappointed in the cool mode because I felt it didn't cool off that much but enough to keep the person who the fan is facing comfortable ....as a matter of fact I have a $12 fan I bought that gives off more cool air however the hot mode works really well and heats up the space very quickly, I actually can't wait until winter to really use it. When using the cool mode you control the air flow by adjusting the airflow speed anywhere between 1-10. When using the heat mode you have a thermostat control button where you set it to the temperature you want. The fan oscillates and has a sleep timer function. I love that the fan is safe , very quiet and blade-less so you don't have to worry about anyone getting hurt or worry about it collecting so much dust. It's also very easy to clean and all you have to do it clean it with a dry cloth, the fan also comes with a small remote that is magnetized so it can be placed on top of the fan. The remote is really small and sometimes I worry it will get lost because of the kids, I wish it would have came with a slot that it could be placed in instead. Overall I am happy with the fan and would recommend it.

    Strong and Breezy Cooling & Warming
    The Dyson Hot+Cool Fan Heater, in Black and Nickel, model AM09 is heavily sturdy to be durable yet light enough it can sit on the floor or on a desk or table up high for even more diverse, adjustable circulation. Assembly requires simply turning the base piece onto the bottom of the motor column, and the longer plastic piece will catch in the indentations as you turn it. The small diagram shows what looks like the cord, when actually, it is the plastic piece. Do not make the mistake of thinking the cord goes into the long piece because it does not really fit, and there is no place for the cord to come out. The oval height shape rather than a circle makes a tall stream of wind that covers a large area. It is amazing and safe when no fan blades are swirling, and it is very, very much quieter. After sitting in front of this Dyson, when I go into a different room and turn on an 8 in. fan, I get surprised at the large amount of noise I have been living with. I use this fan instead of the one on my large room A/C costing less in electricity. The remote is terrific how magnetically it attaches to the top of the machine. Then, I know where it is at all times. The cool fan has to be on at least five in the Florida summer heat to feel coolness, whereas in a colder climate, all settings are fine. On ten, it is the same strength as a 12 in. fan, however this Dyson can be adjusted to each side, tipped back, or tilted forward to aim comfort in every direction. It also can either blow directly or diffuse broadly covering a very wide area. Astoundingly, it swivels, or oscillates, automatically while in any of these settings. It will be super in the winter for heating since there are so many settings. The 1-10 settings are very good for heating in all climates, hot and cold, and it can be set based on the number of people, where they sit, and how small or large the room is. Settings 1-5 are great for heating in Florida and for cooling in the cold climate areas. The fan can spread the heat all over the room instead of retaining it in a central location that gets too hot. This is a big savings on the electric bill. Based on how the motor works and sounds, it seems like the Dyson Hot+Cool Fan Heater will last for quite a long time.

    Phenomenon Fan Heater
    Let me just say, my husband LOVES this fan heater, most the fan part. We live in Florida. The summer heat here is brutal. We switch off the A/C when we leave to work in the mornings, by the time we get home in the evening, the inside temperature gets to be close to 90 F already. Even if we turn the A/C on right way, it takes about 30min-1 hour for the apartment to cool down. So for that hour or so, everybody is sweaty, until we got this fan. Now, when we got home, the first thing we do is to turn the A/C on, then the fan. It takes no time for the fan to blow cool air out and it feels like paradise when we sit within the range and chat about how our days were. In terms of design, it has everything you would expect for a fan and more. By itself, the fan looks stylish and elegant. It definitely adds to the overall design of your house. The fan ring can be tilted up or down. The blowing speed can be adjusted. It can be direct or diffused. And it can be hot or cold. The heater mode can even be set to certain temperature. The best part is all these things can be done with a touch of a few buttons. All in all, I highly recommend this fan for its functionality, though it does demand a pretty penny. I can see we will use it for all year round.

    All fans should be like this
    This is the Dyson AM-09 combination fan and heater. Small enough to set on a shelf yet with enough power to heat or cool a good sized room and then some. It looks great and should go with most decors. This fan is great. NO SPINNING BLADES. Not top heavy as to fall over. It can be set on the floor or in an elevated area. You don't have to worry about animals or kids playing around it and getting injured by the said blades. The fan sucks in the air from channels towards the bottom and it blows out thru the ring on top. Very efficient. It has settings to tilt the fan so the air can be directed upwards to cover more area. You can adjust the speed, and if you want it to disperse the air in a wide pattern or have it come out in a narrow cone to concentrate the air where you want it . It feels like someone is standing there waving a fan just to you. It has a remote to set it up the way you want from your favorite chair. An extra feature of the remote is that it's magnetized and stays right on the top of the unit when not in use. Another great idea. The cord is long enough so you should be able to set it where you want. In reading the manual that comes with it, it shows most of the setups for rooms to be in the corner of the room. I agree. Setting this unit up in a corner, say on a desk or sturdy shelf distributes the air in a pattern to quickly warm or cool the room. At least it worked for me. It doesn't wander around from where you place it like a lot of fans do. When you fire up the heater, it gets warm in a hurry. The case needs no maintenance except for a quick wipe down to keep it looking great. I could not find any cons against this product except maybe the cost. I know the price is a little steep, but if it stops an injury from fan blades, it's well worth it. Every fan should be like this Dyson. It's a step forward.

    I absolutely love the Dyson AMO9 Hot and Cool Fan Heater, Black Nickel! I am happy to have the privilege to review this. This Dyson brings outstanding, sensational soft, relaxing, comfy and smooth airflow. So, so very comfortable like no others and I have had many heater/coolers in the past. This wins hands down! I am also impressed by it's quietness. No blades! It's useful all year around. Many settings to make you comfortable. It's very precise. The controls are very easy. It does a superior job directing and distributing air!. It puts out a lot of heat and quick! On the cool side, there is a dynamic airflow. It arrived well packaged and very easy to set up. Direction are well written. It stands at 2 feet looking so polished, sleek and attractive in any room. Solid and firmly built. It shuts off if tipped over. Sleep timer can be programmed from 15 minutes to 9 hours. It also tilts 10 inches from both directions. The directions are also very well demonstrated. It comes with a 2 year warranty. The remote control is magnetic, just place on top of the machine. For heat, press the red button for desired temperature. Cool mode, press the blue button for desired temperature. There is a diffused button. A narrow and angel button as well. Oscillation control and you can control the amount of air flow speed control. Honestly, I can not say enough good things about the AM09 Dyson Hot and Cool Fan Heater. This easily triumphs above the others. Pricey, yes. However, if you are looking for desired comfort and relaxation, in my opinion this is perfection. I would definitely recommend this AM09 Dyson.

    GOOD FOR SMALL ROOMS
    Both the hot and cold functions work really well, but I do believe this is meant for small rooms, or set within 10 or 12 feet of you in a large room. The heater warms up very quickly, and pumps out the air at the temp you set, and the cool air comes out slow or fast at a level you set from 1-10. You have 2 choices on how you want the air to blow out, either Diffused, or Personal Mode, I prefer the Personal mode, when I set it to diffused the performance went way down, I could hardly feel anything. A couple really nice features to this machine is that it's safe, great for homes with kids or pets, and it is very quiet, great for night time, sleeping, or just watching TV. The size of it is a little over 23 inches high, and 8 inches across at the base, and the look of it is very nice, the black is a smooth matte finish, and the nickel is a little darker in person, online it looks a little more silver. The remote that it comes with is easy to use, and the battery is included, but the best part is that it sit's right on top of the fan via a magnet, so it will always be easy to find. The only thing you will have to assemble is the base, which is very simple, and as for the delivery my package arrived in great condition but it was shipped in the actual product box, just like you would buy off the shelf at the store, so keep that in mind if this is a gift or if you will not be home for delivery as it will be left at your front door and everyone will be able to see exactly what it is.
