Nice surprise!
To start, the printer came very nicely packaged with plenty of styrofoam keeping it safe. I downloaded the Epson SmartPanel app, turned on the printer, and the app immediately recognized the printer and led me step by step through the set up process and connecting to the internet. I had some concern over the ink…worried that it might be a messy process to fill the tanks. My worries we're definitely unfounded, as filling the ink tanks was a breeze!! No mess, no fuss, quick and easy…and had some ink left over for spare!! Our son goes to virtual school so all his home work has to printed, so with other printers, I'm constantly buying ink. So far, this doesn't seem to be a problem with the EcoTank. I've printed like crazy for a couple of weeks now and my ink levels have barely moved. I love that I can see the ink level right on the front of the Epson printer. Even when I do need ink in the future, replacement ink bottles and much cheaper than old ink cartridges. The print quality is very good and sharp. Pages print faster and much quieter than my old printer, another plus! Scanning and copying are easy as well making it a breeze to send in the son's completed home work. I have to say, I'm very pleasantly impressed with this printer and I definitely recommend it. Not happy
I liked the printer a lot, However, the option to print a simple 4x6 photo was awful, nothing I done, settings, paper, anything, I couldn't get a decent photo to print. Now the printer is a nice printer, copier, scanner, nothing wrong with the print quality of that, just would not do photos, even called Epson, and nothing worked, so I sent it back

    Happy Purchaser!
Set up contained easy to follow directions, filling the ink tanks was easy and mess free. Printer is lightweight and paper loads from the back, I love no more jammed paper cartridges! I have not yet been able to link the Wi-fi connection, but I actually think that could be a problem on my end. Will try again soon. I have only printed small projects, but so far I am happy with the print quality. The footprint of this printer is small and because paper loads from the back you will need more vertical clearance . This works fine for the space I am using.

    Awesome
This printer is awesome it was easy to set up love that it hold a lot of ink instead of the flat felt tip cartridges this has many features it scans and it has a fax very useful for just personnel use or if you have a business I feel this machine has a lot less waste and like i said it was easy to set up another feature I liked was the fool proof filling of the ink each bottle is specifically keyed to its right hole meaning you cant put red in blue or yellow in black the bottles have a special tip that only corresponds to its right specific spot Id say my only gripe about the machine was the ink charge time it literally takes 11 mins to charge the roller and this itself wasn't a horrible task it was loud during this process with a lot of humming and buzzing but once done its a pretty quiet machine love this device and would recommend This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

    Surprisingly good
Epson has long been a staple in my home. This particular printer is lightweight and compact, it's small footprint design doesn't take up much space at all. The initial setup and WiFi connection was easy and painless, I was printing in just a matter of minutes. The print quality is excellent, the printed ink dries quickly and doesn't smear. Really appreciate the EcoTank technology, EcoTanks rely on ink bottles and a refillable ink tank system and offer a much higher page yield compared to regular ink cartridges, which minimizes the frequency for refills and results in an extremely low cost per page. Epson went all out with the white color on this model, it's is a nice change-up from the typical black we're used to seeing. Unfortunately there is no paper tray, it utilizes an old-school rear paper feed, however I didn't find this to be a big issue, although potential dust could be a concern. The Epson ET-4800 has a sheet-fed scanner with an automatic document feeder, so you can scan or copy multiple pages at once, also has an integrated fax feature. Sadly it lacks support for any sort of flash memory, but the mobile printing capabilities surely makes up for this. Print speed is satisfactory, not the fastest printer in town but it's certainly been adequate for my needs. Overall, the Epson ET-4800 has very good print quality, relatively quick print speed and the low cost-per-print make this a worthwhile investment. In terms of ink efficiency, you really can't go wrong with any Ecotank. If you're looking for a compact printer with a full set of features, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Epson ET-4800 to anyone. First Printer in a Long Time
I was very impressed with the set up for the Epson Eco Tank ET 4800. The last printer I bought took forever to install and then figure out how to operate. This printer is a breeze with all the instructions delivered step by step in a phone app. It was like texting with my son (except the app didn't get frustrated with me). I also love that I can share the printer with my husband just by using a QR code. Every copy or picture I've printed has been of very good quality. There aren't too many bad things to say about this printer except: 1. I'm frustrated the ink bottles all have more than a quarter inch of ink left in them. My parents never let us through away an ‘almost empty' bottle - wait ‘til it's empty. I now have four bottles sitting on my shelf taking up inches of space for like a inch and a half of ink. 2. The screen on the printer isn't much bigger than a postage stamp. I wear bifocals! It's almost impossible for me to read the text. (Hopefully I won't have to contact my son for help!) Great copies
This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. In packaging and setup were fairly easy. Instructions with included booklet are good. But there is a little juggling of having to download the app at the same time you go through the booklet to get through the setup process correctly. I had to download the app but then deleted it and download it again because of missing a step and it the only way I could get back to that step. You HAVE to allow the app to know your location while using the app, otherwise it won't work. Filling the ink cartridges was very easy but they can drip ink so be prepared with a cloth or paper towels. I wasn't abs luckily the drip just was on the printer itself. I would have been very upset had ink dripped on something cloth. All other setup, was easy to get through. Make sure you have your wifi password ready because you need your device you are setting up with to stay close to the printer. The only process that seemed a little more arduous than I would have preferred was doing the printer alignment. You have to go through THREE pages of printing and it wasn't exactly clear what I was actually going to have to do. I got through that process just by realizing there were only certain options I could choose that would allow me to move forward.

    High-quality product
I am very satisfied with this Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Wireless Supertank Printer. It is high-quality and useful product. The printer comes well packaged. All inks needed, a long power cord, and a quick start guide were included. ET-4800 sets up pretty easily. The Epson software, as well as the Epson Smart Panel, is easy to use for printer management, help and updates. The printer can be connected to any device with Wi-Fi, or trough a cable. I prefer mobile printing, as most convinient and quick for me. I connected to the printer directly without using a router. I am pleased with print speed, quick copying and scanning. Print quality is quite good, and the few photos I have printed out using glossy paper have been excellent. I would highly recommend this printer, as a great small home office printer with easy to fill print ink tanks. Well Designed and Executed Printer
I received this printer about one week ago and was excited to test it out. My current Printer is a Brother MFC-J985DW Inkvestment printer. I will be comparing the EcoTank to the Inkvestment Printer. When I purchased my Brother INkvestment printer the main other printer I was considering was the EcoTank. The reason I chose the Inkvestment over the EcoTank was for the following 2 reasons. 1. The Inkvestment had better reviews with print quality on review sites I trust and 2. Brother printers had a great reputation for ink not drying out and very little waste. So setup on both these printers was very straightforward and easy. The EcoTank can be set up from either your computer or smart device. I used the smart device, but did go thru the setup on one of my pc to see how it went. It was very consistent and easy between both interfaces. I do want to mention to fill the ink is very straightforward and easy. My only concern here is you probably need to wait until it is almost empty before adding more ink. Not sure if it might cause issues or if the bottle has backflow protection. It is overall a very smart system and I had zero spill, mess, and overflow. After Setup I printed some test prints including standard documents, black and white and some color pictures on both regular paper and photo paper. This is where I was very impressed. First the printing on the EcoTank was fast and accurate and beat my Inkvestment Printer for speed. Second the color pictures were excellent and were just as good if not better than my other printer before any tweaking. The Brother Inkvestment had to be tweaked in order for the prints to have the quality that I wanted, but the EcoTank needed no tweaking. My only concern with the EcoTank was that I had to switch the identification of the paper type in the printer for it to feed right. I did this on the computer but it did not impact the printer. Overall this is a excellent printer. I would highly recommend this printer and it is now my main printer in the house. Best One Yet!
I've had many printers before and I've been very enlightened by the result and excellent quality that this printer has provided me on a daily basis. I work with plenty of photos and documents which I need to print daily. The ink dries quickly and doesn't smear once it's finished and how quickly each page comes through the printer is quite remarkable! I've had many do the job that this could, but I do notice so much improvement and upgrade when it comes to the speed, the ease of use, and the quality of the photos that print. The ink levels being easy to read and able to fill by a bottle is so much nicer than cartridges. I don't feel I use as much as I would with my older printers. For the many things that this printer can do for me, well it's awesome! I'm especially enjoying the ability to print from my phone, as I'd always prefer when I can't be near my printer or print from my computer. It makes things easier to have the two connected, computer and mobile phone to the printer. Either device has it coming out exactly as seen in the preview before printing, which means fewer reprints I have to make and more done correctly on the first try. Finally, I like to mention that this printer is very nicely designed, and has only helped me do more easily and fewer mistakes. The quality is excellent, not only in the results but the device itself is well made. I am considering this as my favorite professional brand and type of printer that isn't only being kind to the earth with the EcoTank design, but also making it so much easier to utilize on a daily basis for every scanning, copying and printing need I may have. “This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 All-in-one printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”
