Orange can of death
I wondered why the most experienced mechanics always referred to Fram oil filters as "the orange can of death", I always used Purolator or NAPA oil filters. But as I was in WalMart I decided to grab one for my truck and do an oil change later that day, got the oil changed done and ran it a few miles that day. The next day I went to start it and it started up with a rattle I had never heard before, so I drove right over to my friends auto shop and told him about the noise at start up, he put it on the lift and said there is your problem, pointing to the FRAM filter and saying the "orange can of death" is a problem. He offered to remove it and replace it with a NAPA oil filter, so I told him to if that will fix the startup rattle, he said the FRAM has a poorly designed drain back valve that never works well. The next day the startup rattle was gone, Fram was the cause of a dry startup because they are poorly designed, low quality. Never will ever put the "orange can of death" on any more of my vehicles.

    Product is good but watch for delivery charges.
    Products are great but the delivery charge is too much. It said it was available in the store so it should have been put in my store pick up order.

    All I can say is I've used them for years and they have always done the job, plus with the rough coating on the bottom their easy to screw on and off.
