The ONLY good Fram filter
The XG filters are the ONLY decent filters Fram makes. All the other lower end filters are extremely sub par but the XG filters for synthetic oil almost seems like an apology from Fram for selling a ton of crappy filters in the past. Better than the factory filter and you can tell the quality just by looking at the filter....and Walmart sells them and Pennzoil full synthetic oil at incredibly low prices. Great filter at one heck of a great price!

    FRAM USF XG9972 Filter - Exceptional performance
    Have been using the FRAM USF XG9972 on my 2005 Avalon for years and paired with Mobil 1 Syn. Been using Mobil 1 Extended Performance High Mileage 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic motor oil starting at 100,000K miles and still going strong with 268,000K miles. Change Oil

    Fram filters are the best.
    Fram is the best. I had 263,000 miles on my Toyota Previa when I sold it, and there was no engine mechanical problems with it. I used Fram oil filters exclusively, with Mobil1 synthetic oil.

    Oil leak possible
    Would've given 5-Stars but the O-Rings need to be a tighter fit. You really have to watch the big one as you screw the oil canister back into its housing. Came out one time and leaked a lot. Caught it and fixed it with a Toyota O-Ring and did not lose much oil doing so. I think the oil in the filter is all that was lost during the fix. The Toyota O-Ring had to be stretched to get it on and it stayed put.

    Great price vs alternative options
    Great price for a synthetic oil filter. When you buy the 2-pk, the unit price is $2 less vs the price in the store. Time will tell on the quality of the Fram oil filter, but I have to imagine it's good since they've been doing this for a very long time. This option is alomst $10 cheaper vs most synthetic oil filter options so I ordered 2 of the 2 pk's.

    Extra miles for your bucks
    The filter is greatly build, nice and fit, easy installed. It's come with drain tube for filter oil cap drain. Use it with extended miles synthetic oil. Last lots of miles, still very good after almost 15000 miles.

    This filter seems excellent but is expensive, although Walmart does sell it at a nicely discounted price. If you change oil every 5,000 miles or so, then you could use a lower priced more standard filter.
