Had 3 failures of our 5 detectors.
These were exact replacements for 8 yr old originals. Very good detectors. 5 came with the original build, 3 failed after 8 yrs, replaced all 5. Great price with 3 pkg deal.

Unit life about 1 year.
I replaced this detector last year 2020. I put a new battery in it within the last year - since installing the unit. And then it died and I had to replace the unit again. The only reason I used this unit again is that I knew the plug would fit. I didn't want to have to re-wire a new plug type. I'm not very happy with First Alert's quality and would not recommend it. .

    I ordered 2 First Alert smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detectors, one of them is faulty. I have tried contacting the “Top Rated seller”multiple times with no success.

    i had to replace one in my house. these are great quality and work very well . i have 5 in my house and have had them for 6 years and this is the first time i have had to replace any of them . works electric and battery and all 5 work together. one goes off they all do and they are very loud .

    Excellent and great value CO and Smoke detectors
    This is excellent CO and smoke monitor wired to home system with battery back up. It is easy to replace battery without removing unit from system. It is easy to install and works well. We have six units in our house. It is very good value.

    It is an exact replacement of the original so there was no problem replacing it. Remember to put a date on it before you install it because of 10 year expiration and incase you need to do a warranty.
