Good smoke detectors that last.
Had to replace older model of first alert interconnected smoke alarms after 12 years of use. Great smoke detectors with minimal false alarms. However I Did find out with old model from customer service support that compact florescent bulbs within 10ft will cause false alarms and malfunctions. Replaced bulbs with led and no more problems.

The work well
I ordered two and they paired up as described so I ordered two more. They paired up with the first two and work well. I only with they had more pre-recorded locations. They should at least add "Garage", maybe "Furnace Room"

    Home safety improvement.
    Installed eight of the ten smoke detectors as soon as I got it. Great value for a great price. They are battery operated and internally connected so when one goes off they all go off and tells you which room of the house is alarming..No wiring and no installer needed. Just follow the directions. Lowest price around.

    We had a fire in our garage at 1:00 am. The old smoke alarm had gone off but my wife and I couldn't hear it from our bedroom. By the grace of God our granddaughter who was sleeping downstairs did and alerted us. We extinguished the fire with no damage. I bought these since the work in tandem with each other, The directions are easy to follow and syncing them up is a snap. We sleep sounder with these installed.

    Easy to set up
    When I needed to replace the existing smoke detectors in my home, I became interested in interconnected models for increased safety. This is a common feature in wired models but my house is not currently wired for these types of detectors. I was surprised at the limited options for battery powered wireless interconnected detectors given that this option is now recommended by most fire departments and even by many building codes. The few common models that I found all included a lot of unnecessary features such as Internet connectivity and had a correspondingly high price tag. I found the First Alert model on Walmart's site and tried four of them. They are easy to set up and seem to meet my needs perfectly without breaking the bank. I will order more soon.

    Great Product, Easy to Configure
    I purchased to use with my Insteon hub and smoke bridge to not only communicate with each other, but also with my phone though an app. Works great. Alerts when I am not at home, time to get home and save the pets or call 911.

    Very effective product!
    Linking the alarms really makes the family feel secure, there is no fear of not hearing the alarm because its in the basement and we are asleep. It rings on all floors and announces where the fire has started.

    Great product horrible shipping from walmart
    Product was fairly easy to set up after reading directions. The two detectors linked to each-other and work great in my house. I have one in the basement and the other in my kitchen. I plan on replacing the rest of the detectors in my house two at a time until all 10 are replaced. This was shipped from walmart in a plastic envelope with no padding or wrapping at all. the box inside was destroyed and everything was loose in the bag. I was amazed to find everything worked.

    Great value!
    These smoke detectors are a great value. I have seen similar ones for thousands of dollars more. I like how the alarm is loud on these. Another nice feature is when one goes off they all go off.
