HERCULES Series 500 lb Capacity Big and Tall
I received my HERCULES Series 500 lb Capacity Big and Tall Black Leather Executive Swivel Office chair yesterday. It took only about 25 minutes to assemble. I am 6' 1," 290 lbs, 34 " inseam legs and 35" sleeve arms. First the negatives: 1. I wish the seat was one inch longer front to back. 2. I wish the seat would raise 1" higher. 3. I wish the arms were 3" longer front to back. The positives: 1. This is the most comfortable desk chair I have ever owned. 2. The more than ample foam padding is firm, but very comfortable. 3. The back of the chair hits my neck just perfectly. 4. Because of the shorter arms, the chair can be much closer to the desk. 5. The steel, chrome plated arms are far more solid than the plastic arms I have had on previous chairs. 6. This is the most solid and sturdy desk chair I have ever owned. 7. Has a 500 lb capacity and I believe it. This chair was shipped from OJCommerce. FedEx really beat up the box!!! Do to the heavy box, all of the contents were perfect. This is a working desk chair, not a lounger. Durability? Time will tell, but as of now, it looks great. I would highly recommend this chair.

the worst chair I ever sat in you slip out of the seat and it leans back to much you cant sit at the computer like that took back to store got a refund!

    I am too tall for this chair
    the length (seat) from back to front should be four or five inches longer. the height of the chair is to low, three to four inches taller would be much better. I am 6' 0' weight 255 and need a bigger seat and a taller chair. If you are 6' tall I think you should consider another chair. All other features of this chair I considered to be of good quality.

    The chair height does not adjust high enough for my desk. I had to buy 3" casters to replace the ones that came with the chair. I don't think that a tall person would find the chair acceptable.

    Awful
    Very uncomfortable. There is NO back support because the back is permanently reclined so far. I sit at a desk to type...not to lean back and relax. Don't buy this chair if you have to sit at a computer longer than 15 minutes.

    Does not lift high enough!
    This chair is very well made and comfortable. However, it's made for children! It doesn't raise up high enough. It needs to go up another 5 inches or so. My legs have to bend backwards when I sit, and I'm only 6 foot. Very uncomfortable to sit in for longer than 10 minutes. I'm going to look into replacing the lift cylinder. Hopefully, that will help.

    The chair looks amazing. It sits OK. My problem is that I wanted something that sat a bit higher but would be a bit more accommodating to my weight, so naturally - I thought I would go overkill. Well - while the chair feels like it will absolutely hold every bit of 500lb, my biggest complaint (which appears to be shared) is the height of the seat. I am a relatively tall person, 6'3 - and the chair feels like it was made for someone at least a foot shorter than myself (to spite the chair being at the max height setting). The chair by default is very very stiff/difficult to recline in - so much so I thought the chair was broken. Once I loosed the tension on it - it reclines like a dream, so much so that I have to use the chair in that position or else it feels like I am going to slide off. (I know that I am not, it just gives my body the feeling like it is.). Overall - for the money - really what you are buying is the component stability. I really wish that it were more comfortable. Will not go into much other detail as others have hit it spot on (I wish I would have listened, but in the realm of big & tall chairs, there's not too much of a market (at least at the price point)).

    do not buy unless you ate 4 feet tall.
    worst chair imaginable. Made for people with no legs or 4 feet tall. I am 6 1. it is killing me. Driving knees up putting pressure on my feet.

    Best decision
    My husband works from home, and he needed a new office chair. He spends 8-10 hours a day working. He said it makes him feel so much better. His legs, and back aren't stiff at the end of the day. It feels so good If I ever get a chance I will set in it. It's so comfortable! It was very quick, and easy to assemble the chair.
