Love it
I never knew I needed this until I got to use it. It was so easy to use and very quick too. Just plug, place the bag and press a button. It comes with extra bags too so it lasts for awhile. Storing food has just became alot easier and much better. Definitely recommend this.

It was supposed to suck, in a good way.
Maybe I got a bad unit? We were able to seal 2 bags and that was it. Took “gaskets” out and flipped them over and that gave us the 2nd vac, but none after that. Very disappointed. For something that should suck, it did not. Debating on trying again, the foam gaskets seem cheap and useless to me.

    I recently ordered a food vacuum sealer by Food Saver. This vacuum sealer came with a bonus handheld vacuum sealer, several precut bags in multiple sizes and a couple of rolls of bags you can measure to size and seal. This model is easy to use and compact enough that I can place inside my cabinet when not in use. The hand held sealer is very easy to use. The kit included several bags made specifically for the hand held sealer. The bags have a plastic seal you mash closed at the top then place the hand sealer over the round vacuum port on the bag. It takes around a minute to suck the air out of the bag. This size sealer will come in real handy for when we go camping. The larger vacuum sealer has a lever on the right side that unlocks the lid so you can place your bag on the edge. There is a small removable tray that catches liquids. You can remove the tray to wash and then replace. Once my bag was in place, I lowered the lid and locked the lever on the right side and pushed the vacuum and seal button. Within a few mins my food was vacuum packed and sealed, ready for the freezer. This model also has a port for an optional accessory a hand held sealer with clip.

    To be honest this was an appliance I have wanted for years but never thought it was "a must". Boy was I wrong! We have a large family and I like to buy our meat in bulk and freeze it. Usually that involved cutting and separating portions and putting them into gallon or quart sized bags while squeezing as much are out as possible. Using the Foodsaver precut bags and the "make your own bags" using the roll was just as easy. I was able to sperate and vacuum seal all the meat and I know they will store easily in the freezer and stay fresh until use. The directions were super easy to follow. I have already ordered more bags!

    Great for bulk buying
    I've been using my FoodSaver FM2000 for a couple of weeks. We buy a lot of meat & other bulk foods from a warehouse store so I freeze a lot of stuff. And I am loving the Handheld Vacuum Sealer that is included for keeping refrigerated foods fresh. The instructions for both units are very easy to follow & they are both really easy to use. There are lots of bags included as well: 7 bags for the handheld sealer plus 2 rolls of bags & several quart and gallon bags for the FoodSaver. I love the rolls of bags because I can make custom-sized bags that are larger or smaller than the regular bags. The lights on top of the unit let you know when the sealing process has completed. I just wish this machine had a longer cord. My house is 70 years old with only one outlet at each end of my countertop so I either have to rearrange everything on my counter to plug this in or use an extension cord. A couple of extra feet would be really helpful for people in my situation. Otherwise, I love that this machine allows me to buy in bulk, then freeze smaller more convenient portions.

    I've had this vacuum sealer for a while now and I love it, it's really easy to use and does exactly what it's supposed to. Apart from sealing food to keep it fresher for longer in the fridge and freezer, it worked great on a bunch of crackers I opened when a few friends were over, but knew I wasn't going to eat for a while. The vaccine sealer is great for peeping to cook with a Sous vide, steaks are just amazing cooked like this!! The little hand sealer and 10 zip lock bags are great too, they are made well enough to wash and reuse, and are perfect for keeping deli meats and cheeses fresh. The machine itself looks good and feels nicely made. I'm really happy with it and definitely recommend it.

    This foodsaver set is just perfect, mainly or even for beginners. It has everything for you to start right away, it is simple to use and much more Self explanatory than the one we have already. We love that there are explanations on the product itself. The set comes with all kind of different bags and sizes, It is just so easy, and We are excited about the idea of all the food we can save. We've tried the handheld sealer, and love it too, for a one time use, it just works with specific bags though, oh and the bags for the handheld are also reusable! I would highly recommend to keep more food in your fridge and more in your wallet.

    Vacuum is really easy to use. I had same brand for about 3 years and had to purchase a new one. This one has a spot for the bags which is nice. Also really like the wet/dry mode so far. Would recommend.

    Great Air Tight Sealing Product!!!
    This foodsaver vaccum sealing system is a great product that comes with a bonus handheld sealer and zipper bags that seal and a few sizes of sealing bags and a 10 ft. roll to make any size of bag you need. I like the zipper bags the best so far because I can open the bag get what I want out of it and seal it back over and over again. The system is very simple to use you just push the wet or dry button to choose what your sealing and push the vaccum and seal button to begin after you have placed your bag in the correct area. It has a handle on the side that is to open it store it or to operate it. And the bags are bpa free. You don't have to use it just for food products either. You can use it for products that might spill in your suitcase when traveling or use it to keep dog food and dog snacks fresh if you buy in bulk like I do. The point of this product is to keep stuff fresher longer by removing as much air as possible that would normally cause stuff to spoil quickly. Overall I love this device and I highly recommend to get one to try for yourself!

    nice unit, only thing i don't like is, if the bag gets the slightest moisture or juices from whatever your vac sealing it will not seal. you have to double bag it or freeze it or stuff paper towels in bag to try to stop juices or moisture. this unit is replacement for my 25yr old foodsaver. which i would seal anything everytime. so as with most anything nowadays its not built as good. I'm trying a different good quality but cheaper 150'roll/ bags

    Easy to use!
    I have wanted a foodsaver for quite some time and I am really happy I have one now. The amount of food that I have had to throw out because it was not sealed properly and went bad or has freezer burn is insane. My family loves beef, chicken, cheese and cold cuts and now we are able to save the food so it stays fresh 5x longer. Its very easy and quick to use. I tried it first with cheese we had at home. The foodsaver comes with a heat seal plastic roll that can stays in the machine and you can cut to size. You first make a cut, then seal one side, place the food in the bag and place the unsealed side in the machine and vacuum seal. The light illuminates during each process letting you know when each step is started and complete. It has a moist and dry mode for different foods. It also comes with a handheld accesory sealer. Vacuum zipper bags and heat seal bags are also provided. I am really excited to see how many things I can save money on by using the foodsaver!
