Great hose, very lightweight
I love the hose, it's very lightweight and feels sturdy. Because of the super light weight, it makes rolling up on the water spigot a breeze. The first time you get the hose, make sure to slowly unwind it so when water goes through, it doesn't cause everything to get knotted up. After a couple of uses, once the hose loses some of it's original packaging memory, it does everything it's supposed to. It coils nicely, has a nice heft to it, and leaving it outdoors seems to be no problem at all. The green / black pattern is very nice and modern as well. Also, the water spigot connects nicely to the hose with no problem nor leaks.

Lightweight and LONG!
Of course, this hose would come in January! Not exactly the month for outdoor work with water, but I decided I could work around that and accomplish a task I’d been wanting to accomplish. I had my niece hook the hose up to my power washer and power-washed my driveway and retainer walls. You wouldn’t believe the difference. I should show you pictures of my driveway as well as the hose! Okay, here’s what you want to know about the hose. It’s black with a green stripe, which is unusual, and it comes coiled in a small box. Until you hook it up to a water supply, the hose stays flat. This makes it much easier to get it ready to store again once you are through using it. When the water begins running through it, it becomes round, like a regular hose would. The hose is 100 feet long, which is about the longest length you can buy, and is plenty long enough for my needs. On the few occasions when I’ve need more than 50 feet in length, it just seemed easier to connect two hoses together, so I’ll have to get used to managing this new length. The hose is ½” in diameter, which is about in the middle range, and is what I always buy. The bigger the diameter, the more water you get, and ½’ delivers a comfortable volume. I don’t know what the unkinking process entails, but after cleaning, it was a breeze to coil again. It’s advertised as lightweight, and it truly is. The only negative for me was this new cover seemed to take longer to clean before putting it away. It may be because our soil here is sandy loam, but my other hoses don’t seem to require as much cleanup. Though I haven’t used it much, I think I’m going to be glad I have this long, lightweight hose in my arsenal.

    Great garden hose!
    This is the best garden hose I've ever had! It comes tightly coiled in a very convenient size box. When you first un-coil it make sure to read the instructions that tell how to do it properly to avoid kinks. The hose is flat which makes wrapping it around the wall holder very easy. The connections are a heavy metal and attach sturdily to the water spigot. When you turn on the water the hose expands and becomes round with a strong flow. It returns to flat when you shut off the water and drain the hose. The 50ft length will reach pretty much everywhere in your yard. I highly recommend this garden hose for it's convenience and sturdy build.

    Very lightweight
    This hose is fantastic. It is very lightweight and easy to use. With age, is difficult to use those heavyweight water hose, but this isn’t the case! It came in a small box, very lightweight and the adapters seem to ve sturdy. I just hope this last because is perfect for my needs.

    Great hose! Extremely durable, lightweight, no BPA
    This hose is so lightweight yet so durable. When I picked up the box I had to double check that this was a 25ft water hose because it is so lightweight. You’ll notice when you pull it out of the box that it lays flat, feels expensive, and also looks expensive. Even though I tried to get it to kink it wouldn’t which is great. Both ends are reinforced with an internal coil for added kink protection. As my kids were chasing the dogs with this hose they ended up wrapping this around a tree and it never kinked. This hose is made in the USA, a lifetime warranty, has no lead, no BPA, and no PVC so I feel confident using this in our garden (we grow organic food), children’s pools, dog water bowls, etc. Since it folds down flat a simple long screw on my garage wall holds it up. It’s easy to take the hose on and off without an issue. When my parents came over my mother said she would trade water hoses with me. She loves how lightweight this is. This would make a great gift so I’m definitely going to pick another one up for her. This hose is awesome. My family and I highly recommend it!

I had been expecting one of those stretchy fabric expandable hoses, but this is not at all like one of those hoses. This Gilmour hose is very durable and constructed of several layers, including an internal coil to prevent kinking. When attached to the spigot the hose becomes round, for maximum water flow. After water is drained out, it coils flat for storage. It may also be used with pressure washers, which is great, because I just acquired one. It is 50% lighter than standard garden hoses, resists leaks, resists tears and is drinking water safe. (No lead, BPA or PVC) The hose has a lifetime warranty and is made in the USA. I'm very impressed with the quality of this hose and believe it will last a long time.

    The perfect hose for many applications
    The Gilmour hose is an excellent product for my needs. I use it on a roll-about hose cart mainly for washing cars and watering plants. In both cases I don’t need a 3/4” hose, although all my other hoses are that size, because that is the most common size for quality hoses. It is such a pleasure to handle a lighter weight hose that actually fits well in my hose cart. Now, it’s probably even more than 50% lighter, but that’s not quite fair because the comparison hose is 3/4" and this one is only 1/2". It is so light that unfurling it from my hose cart is a snap, since it stores flat. I have not been able to kink it while in use, but it can kink when empty and you are rolling it back to the hose cart. However, that does not create a weak spot and just unkinks the next time you use it. I’ve only used it 4 times so far but that is already much more durable than the fabric expandable hose I previously used for car washing. That silly hose lasted only one time and ripped itself apart on the second use. I’ve not had this hose out on a hot summer day to verify the manufacture’s claim about withstanding extreme temperatures. Near freezing cold does not bother it. The couplings are unusually high quality. The hose claims to be safe for drinking from, but I still won’t let anybody drink from a hose, despite claims that it is safe.
