Very large trash can with step too high to step on
Can is very large,(almost too big for a kitchen pail). Looks decent enough, but noticed you can only open it with the step operation at the bottom of the pail which is set way too high for you to place your foot comfortably enough to operate, especially if you are wearing shoes. (The lever only sits where it is supposed to when the top of the can is already open.) Very frustrating if you are trying to open and throw something away quickly. I live almost an hour to the closest walmart (which is why it was delivered) so returning it isn't the easiest.. I would use it as a deck/outside pail if there was a way to open it without the step tab, but there isn't so it will be just as frustrating as an outdoor garbage.

    Avoid this one due to lid breakage.
    The garbage can its self looks great and size is large. Unfortunately the plastic clips on the lid break easy. When I was in two different stores looking for the matching lid for the can, I could only find one and some of the plastic snaps that hold the lid on were broken. So I ordered online and had a brand new one shipped to the house only to discover that the lid had the same issue with plastic snaps already broken. So unfortunately this causes the lid not open correctly.

    Tidying up my garage.
    Trash receptacles can be very expensive. These were very reasonably priced, and had a lid, and some other features that I will never use, but I'll take it. I was shopping for a beige colored container to blend in with my garage a little better, but only gray or black. That's okay. Nice cans, work well, 20 gal size, reasonable price. I recommend them.

    These trash cans are a steal!
    I bought one to see the quality and for 20 bucks it is not bad at all. No it is imperative when you get it to hook the metal thing threw lid then put lid on top and faceing back of can push it down til it clicks in place and make sure it snaps in correctly. If you don't like the other people who wrote bad reviews because they overlooked the instructions on the inside of lid then you will get a lid that lifts up when you press petal. If you make sure it snaps in then you will have a wonderful working can! I ended up getting 3 total for my whole house. I am definitely pleased. You should never have to take the lid off after you install because it has neat lil bag holders built in so you can easily slip bag in and out. For 20 bucks i feel like this can was worth it. Plus it is a great size. I upgraded from 13 gal tal to these 20 gal trash cans and it makes a huge difference.

    Is it wrong to love a trash can?
    I like the size of the trash can. I have a mastiff who loves to have trash snacks and this trash can is taller than her which is a huge plus. Even though it is big it's not overly big for indoor use. Another plus is when you lift the whole lid the contents are still protected (my doggo is smart and has easily figured out how to open all the previous cans we have tried)

    I love it so much I named it!
    I procrastinated this purchase for way too long. I wasn't doing the right research on these types of garbage cans. All the ones I found in my search results were upwards of $50-100. I had a swing lid and I hated it so much. It was disgusting. I wanted something that would completely eliminate direct contact. It was hard and nasty to scrape things off of plates, the plates had to touch the trash can. Then food would get on the trash can. I've needed this step trash can desperately. It is perfect. It's much bigger than my last. Trips to the sinister are fewer. There's no smell in my kitchen. It's nice on the eyes, my last was an ugly red. The pedal is high like other reviews say, but I've already gotten used to it and don't even notice it. Plus it's only $20! I love it so much I named it. Noir!
