This frozen cod is the best. We love them! They are every bit as good as the cod filets that I've purchased from the fresh fish case in my local market. You won't be disappointed.

Not good at all
Worst cod I've ever had. They pump it so full of water that it ruins the fish. I weigh my servings for health reasons. This 2 pounds of cod yielded only 15 oz of cooked fish. And it was so sopping wet, even after draining and drying with paper towels. It just fell completely apart when cooking due to how much water was in this. Very disappointed, waste of money. Will never buy again.

    Don't waste your money!
    It is filled with water, so when you cook it it melts to nothing! I definitely won't be buying it again!

    these arent fillets, they're just random chunks of all different shapes and sizes, none of which I would consider an actual fillet.

    No vacuum sea
    So these aren't vacuum sealed???? I opened the bag (that had air obviously) and all the filets are just thrown in a bag like a bag of chips. Even the side of the packaging says, “to thaw remove from vacuum seal” so I have no idea what happened. It's disgusting. Absolutely returning.

    Cold burn Cod
    1 star rating because can't give 0 or negatives. I ordered this and received on April 2, 2022. Today I opened the bag to defrost as directed on the. Instructions on the bag to find that the fish appears to be freezer burned. Although, the Best used by date is Aug. 16, 2023. The fish has very odd look to it parts of it looks like it's dried out, some of it has white skin that peels off like some sort of paper. I'm extremely disappointed. The portions are no longer individually shrink wrapped, now they're just thrown into the bag. Walmart needs to go back to packaging each filet individually.

    Tastes bitter
    Twice now we've purchased this fish and both times it has a very bitter aftertaste. I've had frozen cod many times and we can't figure this out. It's not “bad” or spoiled, but the taste is bitter. We cooked it frozen at 425 for 25 mins with some butter, salt and pepper. That's it. We won't buy this again.
