    ok for egg dying
    This was the first time I used gel coloring to dye eggs (in a pressure cooker). The color in the jar is vivid and bright immediately after cooking, but the eggs are not the colors I thought they would be. Maybe I didn't use enough gel to achieve the results I was expecting.

    Absolutely no pigment!
    Unfortunately this gel coloring has no pigment whatsoever. Intend on using the whole tube for any project. I have tried using it for coloring Easter eggs and for coloring my Breads and cakes when baking with it it gives off a slight flavor if you add the amount that you need to get any color. Truly disappointing. Stick to liquid food coloring or go to a craft store and buy real gel food coloring. This is one thing you can get generic.
