Fun little counter-top coffee bean grinder
It doesn't grind better than a blade grinder, or perhaps somewhere between a blade grinder and an espresso quality grinder. It is a marvel of functionality from a plastic toy-like appliance. It fools the eye with metal looking plastic parts. I like this little coffee grinder. It's fun, it looks good, for me the lowest setting for finest grind is passable, but the thing I like most is the convenience of it. Set it to grind 1 cup worth, hit the button, a few seconds later done. Of course there is the usual static problem in the grounds container, and remember to hold down the lid when you pour. I can't speak to durability, but I am enjoying it.

Might have been a one time lemon.
Unfortunately, it worked once and then failed. The Burr Grinder which was supposed to be a twist and lift out also failed remaining locked in place. On the one time it did work the coffee grind in the espresso position was not fine enough. It had to be returned.

    Powerful Little Machine.
    Great little machine. I use a Keurig coffee system and the pods can get quite expensive. I already have a coffee grinder but it doesn't grind the beans find enough for the Keurig. This works perfect and I am already saving money. It's small, doesn't take up any space, convenient to store and easy to use. Ideal for a small kitchen like I have.

    Does it's job wonderfully.
    The Hamilton Beach Burr Grinder works very well for what I use it for. It grinds my coffee beans perfectly for my pot of coffee. I find them to be ground exactly how I like them. I am not sure about the espresso, it seems a bit to ground up for my liking but I also don't drink expresso coffee that often. I absolutely love the fact that you can choose between 2/14 cups of ground coffee. It's pretty simple to take apart and clean. As with any coffee grinder it's a bit loud but that's to be expected. I will say it grinds much faster then my other coffee grinder. I am going to keep playing with the espresso option to see if it's something I am doing wrong. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to purchase a new coffee grinder.

    Good coffee grinder!
    The Hamilton Beach Burr Coffee Grinder is great. I like that I can choose to grind a small amount of coffee beans to make a small amount of coffee (2 cups) to up to a larger amount for a pot containing 14 cups of coffee. Also, I like that I can choose between 18 different grind settings from coarse to fine. The coffee beans are grounded evenly and the coffee tastes great. The one-touch button and auto-shut off are convenient. Filling the hopper with coffee beans is simple and the grinds fill to the container, which is easy to remove. The stainless steel is sleek and sits nicely on my kitchen counter. I recommend this product.

    Works really well
    The Hamilton Beach Burr Grinder is a great multifunctional product. It is compact and doesn't take up a lot of counter space so it fits nicely in my coffee area. I like that it has several grinding settings as well as setting how many cups I want to process in one go. There is a lock mechanism for the top container to keep things in place before the grinding process starts. However the lock orientation was counterintuitive to me—the lock position is where I thought unlock would be and vice versa. The container that the grounds go into, at first I forgot to put the lid on it before starting the grinding so it all sprayed out but once I got it right, it worked perfectly. I not only use this for coffee but I like this for grinding spices too. It works really well for both coffee beans and spices and it gets a lot of use in our kitchen.

    Super cute counter top coffee bean grinder
    I love this little grinder! Super cute and takes up little space on the counter. Multiple grind settings including expresso! You can also select the pot size you want to make. The lid stays on the cup below during the grinding which helps with no mess. A full cup of coffee beans on top grinds enough for two to three pots of coffee. It's easy to keep clean and comes with a little brush to clean the smaller areas. I love that you just push a button amd it grinds exactly how much you want at the fineness you want.

    Perfect Compact Grinder
    The Hamilton Beach Burr Grinder is compact and easy to use. I like the various settings so I can choose the size of coffee grinds and cups I prefer. And oh that wonderful aroma! I created a bit of a mess on my first attempt but I attribute that to unfamiliarity with the product. A big plus is the stainless steel finish which matches my kitchen decor perfectly! Would highly recommend this appliance.

    This is a very easy to use coffee grinder. It has a lot of nice features. It is a one touch grinder with auto shut off. You can set a dial for course, medium, and fine type of grinds you want, and a cup selector for how much you want to grind. Large removable hopper for easy cleaning. Good Instructions too.

    Great grinder, great price!
    With over 18 grind sizes clearly labeled, you can grind for French Press, Percolator, Drip and so much more! The hopper is easy to fill, grinds precisely, and comes with a tiny brush for easy cleaning. You can grind 2-14 cups, making it great when company is visiting. It can also be used for grinding herbs, but make sure to clean it thoroughly, and don't use herbs that will leave any residue, otherwise you won't be able to use it for coffee again. It has a small footprint and doesn't take up much counter space. Overall it's a great grinder and looks more expensive than it is.

    Doesn't grind evenly =(
    I have experience with a burr grinder and I was excited to see if this Hamilton Beach one was a burr grinder I could recommend for coffee lovers who wanted to elevate their experience by getting a fresh and consistent grind. What I love: -The styling and the low profile. It's just over 10 inches tall and I feel it would fit well into many smaller kitchens. -The removable whole bean holder and grind chamber. Clean coffee equipment is important and I love that these are very easy to remove for cleaning. What I didn't love: -The inconsistency of grind. I tried several different settings and I couldn't get a consistent french press or drip grind at all. It came out as uneven as if I'd used a blade grinder. =( -Accessing the burrs. I and my husband both tried to get the burr chamber up, but rotating it to unlock only succeeded in making the grind coarse/fine selector go back and forth. We were not ever able to get it out of the machine. -The 'cup' selector on the top. Usually when one is grinding coffee, you're weighing it in grams so that you have the proper amount of grams per cup. It can vary coffee to coffee, roast to roast, and including a 'cup number' to adjust how long the grinder grinds instead of a simple 'start' button is a little puzzling to me. I wanted to love this, but the results are what I really care about - and I couldn't get any consistency when I ground coffee on a few different grind settings. I'd love to see them make some changes to this and release it as I feel like a good beginning burr grinder is really needed!

    this is on if the best coffee grinder i have use. it grinds like i like. love the way i can dial the way i want my coffee to taste. it's easy to take apart and clean. love the design and style. the stainless and black looks awesome. one thing i did not like that it was a little loud. other than that i love it.
