Nice Heavy Duty Shelving Unit
I really like the features of this Hart Heavy Duty Shelving Unit. The fact that you can use this shelving unit vertically using the shelves or use it horizontally as a workbench makes it very versatile. The unit is made of steel with five shelves. The shelving boards are particleboard decking. The Hart Shelving Unit is a really nice heavy duty shelving unit that will hold up to 800 pounds for your home or office use. It comes in black which is a neutral color that will work with most anything in your home or office space. The dimensions assembled vertically are 18” D X 36”W X 72”H and it weighs about 56 pounds when assembled. You can adjust this multipurpose unit's shelves in 1.5” increments to fit your personal needs. It has a rivet lock system that makes it a strong shelving unit system. The unit was simple to put together. My husband and I put this Hart Heavy Duty Shelving Unit Working together. It was easy and took about 30 minutes to complete and have it totally together in vertical shelves, ready to use. It could be put together by one person but by doing it together it just made it very quick and easy. My husband said the rivet lock system was the easiest to put together he had ever used. I plan on using my Hart shelves vertically In my walk-in closet. I want to organize my shoes on it and store off seasonal clothes and accessories on the shelves. My husband and I talked about how nice it would be to organize in our basement with this Hart Heavy Duty Shelving Unit. I would definitely recommend this shelving unit for it's strength and versatility.

took a week to get here, box is all busted open, top looked like it had been opened then been retaped and shelf has been busted. I bought another one of these shelves from my local Walmart and love it. The shelf is amazing, had to have these one shipped because I needed a 2nd one really bad, but it was just a complete was of my time, because of the shape it is in.

    Great shelf
    The only draw back was how heavy the box was to carry. But assembly was super easy and this shelf is super sturdy . Perfect for the holding bins or even a bunch of board games.

    Excellent sturdy beautiful shelf. Would of given 5 star but one of the short “B” bracket had a welding error for the pin, causing it to be loose/close to falling out. Also the opposite side didn't even had a pin on it

    Missing pieces
    I purchased 3 of these units and assembled them myself using only a rubber mallet. They would have been perfect if only 2 boxes out of the 3 would have contained all of the necessary parts for completing the 5 shelf unit! One box only contained 1 of 4 legs:(. The other one was missing 3 of 4 brackets for attaching the two half units together as shown on the packaging. Super frustrating!!! If they would have included all of the parts the units would have been great!

    Excellent shelving
    My husband is the assembler in the family. He is very impressed with the Hart 36W x 18D x 72 H Heavy Duty Shelving Unit. It is well designed and a snap to put together. Literally a snap as all one needs is a rubber hammer to finish the project. Actually, we could not find the rubber hammer so he used the rubber handle of his standard hammer and it worked quite well. It can be assembled long-wise or tall-wise arranging the shelves however suits you. We placed the top shelf a little lower to accommodate our basement ceiling. I will have no trouble filling the shelves.

    Great storage
    I am a female and I put this together in a matter of minutes. The only tool I needed was a rubber hammer. My husband put the pieces on the floor and I put together. The instructions were super easy to follow. The quality and sturdiness of this shelf is impeccable. We put heavy duty totes on the shelf along with heavy equipment and it doesn't move or buckle. Once it was put together it took two of us to move it to the garage. love the added name plate that was included, which made it official. I added before and after pictures. Great heavy duty shelving unit.

    Lack of quality control makes shelves bad
    Upon assembly I found that some rivets on the metal for shelves were damaged (bent) and it was not possible to assemble them properly. That's why I could not assemble the shelves the way it is supposed to be. It seems that the rivets were bent during packaging or manufacturing and slipped under the detection of quality control people. It is very disappointing because it seems that the shelves are well designed. Hart heavy duty shelving unit is made from metal and particleboard. It comes with 8 metal sides, 5 particleboard shelves, 20 metal side pieces where particleboards are placed, 4 small metal connectors and plastic edge guards. It seems like a lot of pieces but it is very easy to assemble. According to the manufacturer, the rivet lock system is connected properly once you use the mallet hammer to pound it in place. According to manufacturer, each shelf is able to hold 800 pounds of weight but that is questionable because the inside of shelf is made of particleboard. Shelves can easily be moved by one person while they are in the box. Once they are set up, it is recommended that two people move them around. According to manufacturer, the shelves empty weight is 56 pounds. Dimensions are 72 inches high by 18 inches deep and 36 inches wide.
