Awesome AC Unit
Does a great job in South Louisiana so it should be good just about anywhere. Good price for a good machine!!!

Disappointing Performance
Because of a neurological condition, I need to get my bedroom very cold to sleep. I use a portable air conditioner in my bedroom to supplement our central air conditioning system. I bought this unit to replace a DeLonghi 12,000 unit that malfunctioned (condenser leak?) after 1.5 years (btw, Square Trade was awesome!). Unfortunately, my 3-year old Haier 8,000 BTU unit, which I had been using since late fall, cooled the room far better than this Honeywell 12,000 BTU unit (I am using the old versions of BTUs for comparison). The room was 4 degrees warmer than the display. When I placed a thermometer on top of the unit, I noticed that the Honeywell's thermostat read correctly at the source, but just foot away it was already 4 degrees off. I attribute this to the design of the manual directional fins. Regardless of where you direct the air flow, a significant amount of the air escapes BEHIND the fins straight towards the ceiling. The bottom line, I was using significantly more energy to get less cooling performance. I lasted one sleepless night and then the unit was returned to the store.

    How to beat the HEAT!
Nice unit to keep a couple of adjoining rooms cool. The unit is not small but does have an unobtrusive feel to it. It runs quieter than previous units I have used. It looks nice and does the job. Easy to setup & use. Cools things off quickly and keeps it cool.

    Does a great job!
Arrived in good condition, very easy installation, and works like a champ. It cools down my 2 car garage in 90 degree heat.

    We are happy.
We like it very much. We live in condo so this is perfect. It is easy to install but If you put this the large window ( more than 5 f) I recommend you add the install service.

    So Easy to Install
This was VERY EASY for a 70 year old single gal to install. It's made all the difference in may enjoyment of my screened in porch this summer! It was always TOO hot to come out. My cat loves the room as well! The cooling is very effective; the 16 x 12 porch is on the south and west sides. It often can reach 95 degrees inside. Now, never over 78 degrees!

    Fits my needs perfectly!
I live in a mobile home where window A/C units simply are not practical. I bought this unit and it has far exceeded my expectations right from the start. The built-in dehumidifier is an added plus. With this A/C, the temperature in my living room went from 81 to 73 in a very short period of time. It is not ultra-quiet but it doesn't drown out the TV.

    Great unit
We absolutely love this unit. We purchased it for our master bedroom, which is 440 sq ft with a high ceiling. The unit does a great job cooling the space in about 1/2 hour. We typically turn the unit on 1/2 prior to going to bed and set the timer for 1 hour. The room stays comfortable all night if the room temperature doesn't exceed 74°, which is just our comfort zone for sleeping. For light sleepers such as myself, the sound takes some getting used to. My husband on the other hand, is not bothered by the sound at all.

    Cools well
Bought this unit for my basement. It did a great job keeping it cool & livable during a heat wave of 90+ we had for 3 weeks! Expected it to be quieter based on past reviews but for the cooling job its doing, I can't complain.
