Shop around compare Quality and Prices... Lots of choices out there, Heat index is crucial of course, and so is moisture.... This one triggers my trigger....

Decent product, horrible service
Safe is fine, but delivery person was rude and lazy. When he saw me in yard, he refused to pull into driveway, never spoke to me, never even took cigarette out of his mouth, and handed me a 40 lbs safe to carry 100 yards to my house. Will never order from Walmart again.

    Hefty and large enough for legal size documents sideways or letter size side by side .. keys are cheapy with upper half plastic instead of all metal ..

    Good for the price, but some flaws
    Good internal size for paperwork. Inexpensive. As other reviewers have noted, the lock/keys are poor quality. And it must be locked to close it, which is dumb. So this is not the place to store stuff you'll need frequent access to. This is protection (hopefully) against fire %26 water, not theft. I hope to never find out if it works as advertised.

    A good product for the money.
    Is as described. Very sturdy. Adequate room for papers, small items. Hydraulic hinges a good idea. Convenient carrying handle. Reasonably priced. However, not excited about weekly "airing out" requirement to keep humidity from damaging papers inside. Also question the effectiveness of water seal as it does not appear to be tight. Latch is simply a latch, so do not expect a security lock. The manufacturer claims water and fire resistant but this reviewer won't know if it warrants five stars until it is put to the test. Otherwise, I recommend this chest.

    This little safe chest is sturdy and holds my documents and some jewelry that I want protected if a fire or flood should happen. It's a bit heavy, I'm a small, senior woman - but not so heavy that I can't carry it to the car if I need to. I'm very happy with this purchase.

    Just make sure to open it once a week to air out for 30min as it is very well sealed per the instructions. (This is pretty standard) I'm very happy with the quality :)

    Supplier sends lesser version
    I ordered the 1114 verion and received the 1104 version. MyOfficeInnovations knows once you have the product it is too much of a pain to drag a 50lb chest back to Walmaer to return. They pretend and say the heavier version is the better one while Honeywell rightly says the lighter 1114 version is the upgrade. I'll just avoid this company going forward.

    Buy it for fire protection, not security
    Good: Great to protect from fire/flood. Great slow-close hinge to avoid breaking your fingers. Bad: Cheap key and lock. The key is easily bent and the lock is likely easy to pick. The silver compression latches on the front are plastic garbage- be careful not to break them off. They're needed to maintain the seal. Buy it for the fire protection. Don't buy it if you're afraid of theft or people picking the lock.

    Flimsy keys, do not buy!
    I've had this safe for 4 months. Today I went to put some items in the case, and the key broke in the lock. Fortunately I managed to unlock it and my items are accessible. I didn't even realize the key broke until I went to lock it back up and noticed the key was broken. Very disappointed that an expensive sage that had good reviews has such a flimsy key.

    Too heavy for the average person.
    I ordered this without checking the weight specification. Big mistake. The description includes the words "Lite Weight", but I'm not sure how over 43 pounds can qualify as "lite". I wanted something that I would be able to put away and pull out easily when needed, but I wasn't even able to get it out of the box on my own and ended up putting in for a return the same day I received it. Too bad, as it looks to be of very good quality.
