Easy and simple
I like it. Been riding it outside weather. Electric scooter is simply to install and use. It's fast and doesn't take long to charge. I use it to take my son to school haha. It's a great investments. If this scooter drop price again, I buy another one.

    Do not buy
    The scooter itself is fine as a scooter. HOWEVER, the front tire went flat and I contacted Hover 1 support through their Instagram. All they said is I had to replace the inner tubing but could not tell me how to do so and told me to find someone near me. I called several bike shops and no one would touch it as they said the tires are too small. Finally found some YouTube person and was able to do it. Then a few months later the scooter stopped turning on. I reached out to them via IG again and they said it's either the battery or charger. They could not tell which one so they suggested I buy both to see which one it is. Not too happy with their response so I'm just going to sell this off for parts. If you're looking for a scooter find something else or get the protection plan so you can at least get your money back if and when this scooter stops working.

    Fun while it lasted!
    TRUST ME WHEN I SAY TO BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY! The scooter is fast and fun, but read the reviews on multiple sites. the manufacturer warranty is a joke. Parts are non-existent. It just quit working one day, (had maybe 100 miles total street only riding) i brought it in to be serviced at the local shop, they tried for over a month to get it fixed. contacting the manufacturer multiple times. the problem is with the lack of available parts. and if you're past the 90 days, Hover-1 will ghost you. luckily I bought the square trade insurance, and they paid me the purchase price. without them, id be stuck with a broken scooter and a dent in my wallet. the scooter shop told me that the single most important thing to consider when buying an escooter, is whether the manufacturer is well established in the states, with parts available, and has a track record of standing behind their product. hover-1 is not that company.

    Hover-1 Can't be turn on after few month of use.
    Hover-1 Blackhawk Electric works well for the few months but completely died as it can't be turn on(while charging and on the battery) last week. Contacted Hover-1 online support, they only cover 90 days limited warranty. Fortunately I have purchased 3-Year AllState Protection Plan. They are sending a check minus purchase taxes of the scooter and cost paid for the 3 yrs protection plan.

    Would be great if it worked.
    While it worked it was great, but one morning after charging it wouldn't turn on. Customer service was prompt but unable to provide a replacement or parts. Would not buy another Hover-1 product.

    Top speed of 20mph. Powerful motor, long battery!
    We own 4 other hover-1 dynamo scooters, and have had them for over a year. They are great, but sometimes we have more family that wants to go riding, so we bought two of these blackhawks on sale. They are amazing scooters for the money. Top speed said 15mph, but ours easily do 20mph, sometimes 21mph. The batteries are removable, which make is nice when you want to leave the scooter in the garage and bring the battery inside to charge. The 350w motor is noticeably more powerful than the 250w motor on the dynamo, which only goes 16mph. I had to adjust the brakes on both of the scooters right out of the box because they were rubbing. Not a big deal. I just loosened the two hex key bolts on the rear brake and aligned them so the disc brake was centered between the two pads. It took all of 5 minutes, but definitely worth doing. I also adjusted the brake cable so the handle action was more precise. Great scooters for the money. I would highly recommend them.

    My son loves it and it goes really fast.I was nervous because of the price but I recommend to get it. It's worth it the only issue I have wish it didn't weight so much, makes it hard for my 10 year old to pick it up

    Came with a hole in the front inner tube. I got a great deal and the product was sold out so I didn't return it. I broke the fender in the process of changing the tube. Be careful of the fender if you change the front tire. Also make sure you order the inner tubes with the valves oriented properly. Most are perpendicular to the direction of scooter travel which won't work. The valves must be oriented in the online direction. Daughter loved it once I had it fixed up.

    Great scooter; travel longer, faster
    A very well built and strong scooter. One of the best things is the 8" wheels/tires. Big wheels reduce the jerks when passing over potholes. Battery life is amazing and i have been able to reach 19 MPH (155 Lb guy). All in all, this is a sleek, fast and long range scooter. Absolutely love it
