Hyper Tough Circular Saw
Projects being scarce this time of year I asked for two reviewers. #1 used the Hyper tough circular saw to finish an interior paneling project and saw planking for outdoor use. Comments "love the handle and knob, makes it easy to stabilize the saw for direct and angle cuts. Job completed fast and easy". #2 reviewer used the saw to cut 1/4 and 3/4 inch plywood for garage. Comments "nice balance, knob and handle are easily used by a man with only one finger on right hand. More than adequate power, but feel the bottom plate could be of a heavier gauge. Minimum to light vibration, but overall this saw is comparable to my brand-name circular saw." Both recommended the Hyper Tough Circular Saw for nearly all projects. Thank you.

Piece of junk
The first time I used it. The blade hight adjustment screw stripped out. It is a one of a kind screw. Now the saw is completely useless.

    The saw runs good and cuts good with the carbide blade that I used. The bolt for the blade height adjustment stripped out very quickly and basically rendered the saw useless. It's a very odd bolt assembly not easily replaced.

    Good power and a great price
    The Hyper Tough 12-amp 7 1/4 inch circular saw has decent power. The cord length is only 6ft but I just used an extension cord. With 12 amps, I didn't expect to do too much, it will perform basic DIY projects. I couldn't cut straight without it having the laser beam guide but after practice I will get it right! I recommend cutting slowly so it doesn't slip. To me it was a little heavy, but it's really a nice little saw for around the house projects.

    Great value/product for a weekend warrior
    When I received Hyper Tough 12 AMP 7-1/4 Inch Circular Saw With Steel Shoe the outer shipping package and the inner branded box were both in great shape. That is not always a true statement. The saw worked great straight out of the box. It was fully assembled and ready to work. It has a nice heft. And with a sharp blade. I needed to cut some shims to level a refrigerator in my shop. I used the Hyper Tough Saw to cut a shim of 1/2" and one about 1/4-1/8". I find the thin stuff hard to get a clean cut on. And it usually leaves a ragged kerf. The Hyper Tough Saw did a good job on cutting the shims. Smooth enough kerfs. Minimal splinters. It could have a done a better job with a specific purpose or finer toothed blade. But the saw comes with a general purpose blade. The enclosed picture should show the cuts. I am no where close to a skilled carpenter. Far from it. But by my overall perspective and view point, the Hyper Tough saw provides a good value and performance for the cost. I would recommend it.

    Good for average home owner
    This saw is a good deal for the price. It cuts well and is easy to handle. It is not a high-end saw that a carpenter would use on a daily basis but is definitely has enough cutting power for the average home owner. It was not too heavy or cumbersome for me to use and I am a 130 pound female. It was not any louder than the circular saw I already own. The warranty is a two-year warranty, which is also very nice.

    Great Circular Saw!
    When I received this circular saw I was very impressed with the construction of the saw. It felt good when I held it and the weight was as expected for this type of saw. I know there are saws out there that look like a souped up show car and cost a whole lot more, but this saw is made simple and has pretty much the same features as the name brands and does the same job for way less. I like that this saw has a switch lock so you can't press the power button by accident. The switch to allow power is right there at your hand and can be easily pressed to allow power. The name brand saw that I have used in the past had a safety switch that was in an awkward place and difficult to release the switch. The blade guard on this saw is all metal and wont crack or break if dropped. The name brand saw I had mentioned had a plastic guard. The blade was perfectly lined up with the line on the base and cut a perfectly straight line. The blade seems to be made quite well and should last depending on its use. The cord is plenty long enough as most users of circular saws will use an extension cord at some point. The rip guide is made decent, too and has measurements stamped into it which also line up with the line on the base. I was also surprised that this saw was not as loud as I had anticipated... I've heard louder. Overall, this is a GREAT saw and works as it should. This Hyper Tough circular saw is backed by a two year warranty as most name brands come with only one. Get out there and buy this circular saw if you are in the market for one... You wont be disappointed.

    Great and affordable
    The Hyper Tough AQ10019G 12 AMP 7-1/4 inch circular saw with steel shoes is an extremely good buy. For $30-$40 dollars this saw works just as well as any other circular saw with the same amperage. Plus, what I thought was brilliant is that this particular circular saw includes a very simple attachment that is used as a guide to make flush, accurate cuts. The guide can be used to measure your cuts because the guide is labeled with 1 inch measurement increments. Also, I've used this saw now I do a lot of wood work and this saw is absolutely worth every penny you invest. It just does as great of a job of any other circular saw. Cuts just as well as them all. It's just as dependable too. If you're an amateur wood worker Whether or not ur an individual that needs a circular saw for a couple projects, an amateur wood worker, or even a professional I would highly recommend this circular saw simply because of its price and the positive experience I have had with it. Also any other circular saw on the market is going to cost a minimum of $100 and in my opinion it's a no brainer because it works just as well and it comes with an awesome attachment to make those flush, perfect cuts that no other circular saw I know of has. This was an extremely smart feature that I can't believe other companies don't include.

    Great saw for a great price
    I received this free for reviewing purposes but at under $30 I would definitely recommend this to others. This is a great circular saw I used it to cut some trim and a few other small jobs around the house but I can see this being used for big projects as well. I've never tried Hyper Tough products before but after this I'm a fan. I'll keep choosing Hyper Tough as long as they keep living up to their name and due to its good value and good prices. In summary I'm very satisfied with this saw because it's not expense and I feel it's perfect for homeowner projects without having to buy the high price professional grade tools. It's not too heavy, it's very easy to get a handle on and seems very durable. It only comes with the one blade but it's still a great buy all around.

    Awesome Saw
    My husband couldn't say enough good things about this saw. He said it worked fast. Cuts were very clean, as seen on the picture. He said it was very easy to handle. It worked really well on several projects we have worked on. I can honestly say that it has performed well each time. Great and powerful saw. You won't be disappointed if you purchase it.
