Sturdy and extremely handy
This shelving is great! Extremely sturdy, simple to put together and much wider than I anticipated. My neighbor was so impressed she is purchasing her own. I am 71 and it took me maybe twenty minutes to construct. I love it for my laundry detergents toilet tissue and additional storage in my pantry.

    regret purchase.
    shelf is ok, but after seeing all the extra parts available i wanted to add a 5th shelf on top. i cant do that bc this hypertough brand from wal mart which says HSS on the unit, has no threads on top to add poles. but they still make extra shelves in this size and pole extensions for it. even comes with flyer showing where to buy parts. then i saw the same 4 tier hss brand shelf unit for 13 bucks less at walmart.com. maybe that one has the threads but not worth disassembly to return and find out. my advice... buy hss , not hypertough. at least its the same for cheaper even it doesnt have the threads on top.

    Perfect size to use in walk in closet.
    Easy to assemble. Good quality. Perfect for use in master closet. It isn't being used for heavy items, but seems to be sturdy enough to handle the weight capacity it has listed.

    Shelf is ok, packaging is ridicous
    The shelf is good for what we need it for, but it was shipped in the original box - which was thin. Two of the corners ripped open in transit and the black caps for the bottom of the legs were destroyed.

    Good quality, great price.
    Sturdy, good price point, easy to assemble. I bought two and combined them with HSS 4" Casters, 3/8" Bolt which doubled my available storage space. The shelves are adjustable to accomodate most anything. Haven't done too much accessorizing but the quality of the shelves themselves are encouraging.

    At first all it did was wobble and I knew I did something wrong. I looked at the picture online and sure enough, I did! I put the shelves in the wrong way. Once I figured that out, the unit was nice and sturdy and I'm thrilled with it! Which I'm very happy about because I bought 2 of them. I'm using them in the only real sunny room in this house where 1 window has enough direct sun for overwintering my herbs and the other will be used in front of a bright window without direct sun for my 30 orchids when they're not blooming. I'm so excited about these for my plants and they're the start of me turning that room into a greenhouse room.

    GOOD and STABLE SHELVING! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
    I have two of these shelving units (larger 48 x 16 x 72) and they are very stable! I put them together by myself and it was extremely easy. I store fabric on them and fabric is VERY heavy! I have it in under the bed sized storage boxes and I've been able to adjust the shelves to fit two boxes on each shelf perfectly. I have my suspicions about the negative reviews. For the one who said that there were cracks, how much weight did you put on the shelf? For the one who says it's flimsy, from the photo it looks to me like user error! I just can't see how what your photo shows would happen if the shelves are assembled properly! Did you look at the instructions and follow them when assembling? I sincerely doubt it. There is just no way for it to be assembled properly and end up in the condition shown in your photo! Like I said, my shelves are extremely stable and are holding a lot of weight! Granted it isn't the weight of an engine block but the weight is substantial and there is absolutely no movement of the shelves! In fact, I placed the first shelf and added the items to be stored and then realized I really needed a second shelf. There was no budging the shelf without completely removing everything on the shelves. Now I have two 48 x 16 x 72 shelves side by side. There is no movement, no tilting, NOTHING! Just good solid storage! And, when it comes to quality and customer service HyperTough is the best! One shelf on each rack was bent. Wouldn't you know that in both cases they were the last shelf that I was to install and at that point I wasn't going to disassemble it and take it back to Walmart! I contacted HyperTough and provided them with the information from the original package and a photo of the bent shelf and they sent a new shelf right-away! The whole process was extremely easy! They are really on top of it when it comes to customer service!
