Hyper Tough 20v Cordless Angle Grinder Unreliable
I found this grinder to be unreliable. After just a few minutes of light grinding the grinder was warm to the touch and the battery pack was very warm. Then it turned off while I was grinding (less than 5 minutes) I stopped to let it cool down. While it was cooling I placed the battery on the charger to see if had charge and it was still fully charged but when I turned it back on it only stayed on for 4 or 5 seconds and it turned itself off. Visually it's nice and lightweight which makes it easy to work with but the issues are internal which makes it unreliable to me and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I returned it to the store and exchanged it for the Hyper Tough 6-amp plug in grinder which is half the price. The pic of the 5 - 6 inch cut I was able to make is attached.

    The ultimate multi purpose tool
    Granted, the brand hyper tough is one that has shown instances of qc issues, I happen to like them overall. As for this cordless tool, there's little point in having a tool for each specific task, and certainly not when this cordless grinder is capable of doing several. I already have a corded grinder and the freedom of a cordless power source is most welcomed. I've outfitted the hyper tough cordless grinder with a chainsaw conversion kit, and now, in addition to a multitude of possibilities, I am able to easily and conveniently process firewood in addition to cutting down several small to medium sized trees. Particularly well suited to storm clean up and the like. For a fraction of what a 14" electric saw will cost you, I've got 11.5 inches of brutal power with this setup, not to mention the portability of what this offers, there's simply no comparison, this thing cuts like a champ. I was also pleased to find the package contents contains a hefty ¼ inch metal cutting disc and everything one would need to get right to work. Pay less, do more. I dare ask, how can you not love this!?

    Biggest piece of junk Ive ever used. I bought it to cut the tongue off a trailer, thin steel. It cut for maybe 45 seconds then turned off. Now itll turn on for 2 seconds then turn off. Battery is fully charged, I even tested it with the multimeter. Please do not waste your time. Go buy a name brand like Im headed to do

    Great Multipurpose Tool
    I love battery supported tools. My husband and I are simple DIY'ers and have many tools that run off air, electric and battery. I wanted this angle grinder because 1) It's battery operated and 2) It's a multipurpose tool. I've been watching many YouTube videos on all the uses from metal working to wood working. This Hyper Tough angle grinder comes with the battery and charger. Many brands charge an arm and a leg to get the complete tool. This one is cost effective. It did only come with one grinding wheel and so we set out to get some sanding disks, cutting wheels and wire brush cups. My ultimate goal is to refinish the outside of an old antique claw foot bathtub that had seen better days. But, for now I've just been playing around with the tool, learning it and what it can do. I have included a picture of the first piece of pipe that I cut. Kind of a sloppy cut, but it was my first time cutting a pipe. I think this tool and I will accomplish great things together!

    Gets It Done
    The following review of the Hyper Tough 20-Volt Max Lithium-ion Cordless Angle Grinder is based on personal opinion and use. From time to time I like to take on some new projects at home. Throughout the years I have learned that having an angle grinder comes in handy it can be used to complete small wood cutting projects, polish or sand down rust on metal and can also be used to cut some types of tile. For the types of projects that I do the Hyper Tough 20-Volt Max is sufficient. As a test we decided to use the grinder on an old but good little barbecue pit to grind down the top where it was a bit uneven. Operating the grinder is pretty easy, definitely wear goggles to protect your eyes. I like how the handle has the ability to adjust into 3 different positions depending on whether we are sanding, cutting or which hand is more predominant. For an extra bit of safety and protection the guard for the blade is adjustable from left to right depending what needs to be done. I would say that while the grinder gets the job done it would be nice if it had a little more punch of power. One more great thing that is a must when working with tools is the fact that this grinder is cordless. I can't stand working on medium to large projects and having to find an outlet, plugin and have cords running across the floors. Overall, I'm pleased and would recommend for small to medium projects around the home.

    Great Cordless Angle Grinder
    The Hyper Tough 20-Volt Max Lithium-ion Cordless Angle Grinder really impressed my husband and I. We do alot of projects around our house and this is exactly what we needed. My husband owns multiple Hyper Tough tools and his number one favorite thing about them is the batteries are all the same and there all super heavy duty. He was a little curious on how “hardy” a battery powered angle grinder would be after using a corded version for years. After playing with it on a few jobs he said “I expected it to not be very powerful, but I really don't see a difference in power vs my corded grinder.” It is considerably quieter than other angle grinders we have used in the past.. This thing is not a cheap light weight angle grinder. My husband has very large hands and is also ambidextrous so the size and feel of the tool fits his large hands well and the option to switch sides of the auxiliary handle to use it left and right handed is a plus. So far after a few jobs he has no complaints and it seems that Hyper Tough has impressed my picky tool craftsman husband once again. If your in need of a good hardy grinder that doesn't restrict you to a cord this is it.

    The Hyper Tough 20V Angle Grinder is very well made. Easy to put pieces together and easy to use. It's cordless and comes with a rechargeable battery. The battery was slightly charged upon taking Out of the box. So, I could see how it works very quickly. Very sharp and easily cuts. It has a half guard over top of blade for added protection. I would definitely recommend to others.

    This review is for the Hyper Tough 20V Angle Grinder. My husband has been wanting a grinder for a long time to do some projects for the house so be was really excited to get this. This comes with a grinding wheel, a wrench and a 6ft power cord. It has a 6 amp motor and features a lock on trigger. I'm not big power tool kind of girl but I did help my husband with part of his project yesterday and he showed me how to use the grinder and let me do some grinding. It is not too heavy which I like and it was really easy and comfortable to hold and maneuver. It is actually light enough that you can hold and use it with one hand if needed. It seems like the quality is very good and it does exactly what it should do. It is a little loud but that is to be expected from a power tool. The button is a bit tough to turn on though but you get used to it. It seems sturdy enough to be banged around a bit which normally happens with power tools. I recommend as this tool is a good quality tool that does a great job and doesn't break the bank.

    Amazing power
    The hyper tough angle grinder is 20v. And has plenty of power. The cutting wheel cuts amazing. It has good weight to it, but not too heavy for when you are using it or working with it. I love that it gives you three options of how to hold it. You can put the handle on the right, left or at the top for added support. I love the fact that it has the option to put the handle on the left for those that may be left handed. It works perfectly. I would highly recommend this item.
