Excellent sound quality, Battery lasts forever
I took it to the beach sound quality was booming. It was Amazing while it played music I charged my phone. Battery lasted forever AMAZING SPEAKER!!

I ordered the Charge 5 after my old standby and great sounding Charge 3 ceased to hold a charge. First off, no instructions or product description of any kind included- not that this will keep you from figuring it out- it's just odd to have an empty box with just the power cord. Right off, the first thing I was confronted with was the tiny base with raised ridges that it's supposed to sit on. It just rolls around if you don't purposely place it just-so. Totally unstable compared to the earlier model. Second, is the included tiny little 18" charging cord, barely enough to reach the standard height of a receptacle. Third, the initializing/power down "tone" is RIDICULOUSLY loud. If you're spouse has fallen asleep after listening to music they will no longer be after you shut the unit off. Just Stupid. All of which I might consider over looking if it sounded awesome, which it does not. Apparently the development that took place since 2016 was in the how-to-make-it-cheaper process. This unit will be returned and I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

    Spectacular sound, much smaller than the Charge 3. It's my second JBL and I'm not complaining about the service and the product. Recommendation, if you are going to take it to the beach, try to keep it well cared for and do not put it in salt water because it can be damaged faster.

    Powerful speaker
    This speaker has a lot too offer if your browsing around and your looking for a high quality speaker with great sound, go with this one I highly recommend if you love music like me, I promise you will not be disappointed for what your getting. Features, sound quality, bass, battery life, etc, everything is awesome.

    Sounds incredible. I hesitated because to be honest it's priced $30.00 more here than anywhere but I had a $100.00 gift card so I went for it. Think I'm going to get another and do the party connect feature to link them. Don't get me wrong I'd love the big Extreme 3 by JBL but I think the clarity on this one is better. O

    I bought this speaker for all around listening and wow does it do good I do use it's equalizer a lot but even the inbox sound is great and I love yeeting some water on the radiator and watching that boy bounce 10/10

    The best portable speaker I've owned.
    I've owned 5 different portable speakers by five different manufacturers at different price points. This is by far the best speaker I've ever owned. The sound is clear, crisp and loud. I can run the speaker all day for 2 full days on a single charge.

    The main reason why the speaker ordered here, was because there is certainty that they will not send a fake or clone article. I had a bad experience with another site that sent the same JBL Charge 5 speaker but fake. I will never reorder JBL products through a third party. I highly recommend ordering for this site. The speaker sounds amazing with Hight fidelity and clear. I'm going to order another speaker to have stereo sound.

    Great buy, great sound!
    My husbands JBL flip decided to stop working so I researched the best speakers that's wireless and durable. It didn't take long for me to end up getting this one. The sound quality is great, wireless connection is quick and portable for when we go out camping on the weekends. The charge lasted through out the weekend and then some.

    I've owned many JBL speakers and have been extremely satisfied by all but like all technology they are improved by the next generation. The last JBL charge I owned was the charge 3 which I had since launch until selling it recently it was still just as amazing as the day I bought it, but after hearing my new charge 5 I realized just how much of an improvement it was. The added tweeter was the first thing I noticed it makes the speaker sound so much more clear and loud compared to the previous model while retaining the awesome bass response. I considered trying a different brand this time but after a lot of research I decided that JBL is still the brand for me nobody else gives me everything I want in a speaker but they always deliver, in my opinion nobody has the sound quality, build quality and everything else I look for at a comparable price. I also owned the original JBL Xtreme and I have to say the charge 5 is very very close in sound and performance which is amazing at the size. Overall I am extremely happy with this speaker and I'm looking forward to using it for years to come.

    Excellent Sound
    Liked it so much I bought a second to use in the party/stereo mode in my 40 x 40 workshop. Great tonal quality with the addition of the tweeter for classic rock and sixties/seventies music. Would highly recommend the JBL Portable app for firmware updates and entering the party or stereo mode.
