Fewer False alarms with Photoelectric Detectors.
We bought 10 of these to replace over 10 year old Builder installed Detectors that produced False alarms. Ionization Detectors are more prone to False Alarms, so we went with the Photoelectric. I can no longer climb ladders so the False alarms were a big problem... so far so good.

Questionable ???
I must have a bad unit, We experienced a false alarm yesterday. Unit was installed nine months ago and had two different new batteries replaced the day before due to beeping. The false alarm set off all the other detectors hardwired in the house. I think if the detectors were made to identify the location or unit problem it would make it better to identify where the problem is. Very disappointed with unit. Will try another brand.

    Would definitely recommend Walmart On-line.
    This product was exactly as advertised. It was less cost than other local big box stores and Walmart delivered it free right to my mail box.

    Everything has issues, all in all... good product
    This device works wonderfully when it works properly. The word database and specific spoken alarm function is definitely a plus so you know how to react properly to the alarm. Although, there are issues, just like there is with everything. I installed two alarms on 1/19/2022 and had no issues until today (2/2/2022). The alarms just out of nowhere started sounding for absolutely no reason. There was no sign of smoke or fire, there was no presence of CO in the room(s), just out of nowhere these things alerted for no reason. Not an issue the first time, but these alarms sounded multiple times in the matter of 20 minutes... prompting a 911 call. Nothing serious, just what is presumably a faulty alarm from manufacturer. I get it happens and you'll never know this is an issue until a situation like this or something similar happens. All in all, I would still recommend these alarms, but maybe better QC out of the manufacturer, if possible.

    unreliable
    woke me up in the middle of the night for nothing. I purched the end of August now it's January and it screams at random for no reason. what good is safety equipment if its not reliable?

    Good smoke/carbon monoxide detector
    Seems to be a good quality smoke/carbon monoxide detector. The mounting plate fit perfectly over the existing mounting screws. It ran through the initial audible testing when the battery was connected. Hopefully Ill never need it, but I feel confident it will do its job.

    Best smoke carbon dioxide alarm for us.
    We loved these, and the price point was right on. Our old ones were recalled by KIDDE and when contacted, they would not replace and offered a 30% discount off their price, which didn't come close to the price of these. Check yours they might be recalled too. I feel so much more protected.

    I should have switched to these years ago. I no longer have to fight with the smoke detector when I need to change the battery on my vaulted ceiling. I love that I get to support a NC company too.

    Bought this to replace a 20 year one in my home. Easy to install. Like that its also a carbon monoxide detector and that it has a voice that tells you if it's smoke or carbon monoxide detector along with usual siren.
