A very nice e-Reader!
I have a Kobo Aura from 2013 that still works great, but the Libra H2O has more pixels per inch, Overdrive support to borrow from the library directly rather then through Adobe (an additional step on the old one), a larger screen, page turn buttons... I am happy with how it works. The color adjusting front light was not a big deal for me, but some people say is is better for sleep. I also don't read in the tub, so the waterproof feature was not a factor.
Everything looks good and works fast. Set-up was easy, connecting to my existing Kobo account. I would have liked a flush screen like the Aura rather than a raised bezel, but otherwise I am very happy with my decision to buy this.

Unreliable
Am highly disappointed, managed to read one book, and now the ereader is frozen with half the screen saying Walm and the other half the cover of the book i was reading. Factory reset isnt working either.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/19/2022Good eReader at a great Walmart price. The price here was the best. Amazon wanted $234 for the same color. Shipping was fast. I'm still learning to use it after years as a Kindle user. The more I use it the more I like it.Francis

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/11/2022Another great Kobo ereader.I bought the Libre H2O because of the buttons. I am very pleased with it! The screen has great contrast and the ereader is also easy to hold. I also like Kobo ereaders because I can download ebooks directly from my library and not limited to Kindle's infrastructure! I recommend the Kobo Libre H2O.Grumpy

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/26/2021Alternative to Kindle OasisSo I was looking for an alternative to a kindle oasis that's wasn't as expensive and came across this device. I was hesitant because it is not compatible with kindle books but it does worth with Overdrive so I can borrow ebooks from the local library. It's fast to respond unlike my kindle paper white. I love the buttons for turning the pages. It's easy to set up and use. And it holds charge for a super long time! I'm very happy I purchased this.Mizo

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/05/2021Its a book READER and its spectacular at its job!Super lightweight, very easy to hold all day. Large edge to hold means you dont accidentally touch the screen while shifting positions. Adding books from the library and picking up holds is intuitive and super easy. Just superior to nook, kindle, and ANY tablet for reading books!whyarenttheseonallmycars

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/26/2021Best product on the marketAwesome! The backlight auto-adjusts perfectly for any setting. Always easy to read. Unlike Kindles, this reader supports epub and several other file types natively. All you have to do is connect the USB cable and copy the files over to the root directory of the device. Once unplugged, the files are processed and added to your library automatically. Battery life is great. I have been reading constantly for about a week and I still have almost half of the initial charge left. The built in Overdrive app is amazing! All you need is a library card and an online account for your library district. You use that account to log into Overdrive, and you can borrow anything you want from your local library free of charge. If you prefer to own your books, the Kobo library has a vast collection of books to choose from with great prices and sales going on all the time. My first purchases were two 4 book collections. One cost $5, and the other was $7. This is easily one of the best purchases I've ever made, and I wish I had found this sooner. Make sure to get the cover with it. It will keep your screen safe, puts the reader into sleep mode when you close it, and acts as a kickstand in portrait and landscape mode.Shane

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/15/2021Almost perfect with one major fail.I really wanted to like this kobo. I purchased it to replace my Kindle Paperwhite. It has a lot great features that you can read on other reviews. The major flaw in my view is the inability to zoom images in an epub book. I use this feature frequently on my kindle for maps and diagrams and shocked that kobo cannot do this. Without this functionality maps in kobo are not readable. I am returning my kobo. I very much wanted to like it, but I need the zoom feature.susan

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/07/2021Excellent e-Reader!I like the Kobo Libra H2O a lot. Much better (less 'buggy') than the Kindle I used to have, which has been taken over by my 9 year old. The fact that the Kobo integrates with OverDrive for eBooks from my local public library is a HUGE plus for me. I highly recommend this e-Reader!DanCPA

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/11/2021Doesn't work like it shouldVery disappointing. I bought this because it was advertised as having a feature called Overdrive that lets you borrow library books. It does, but so far, I've on been able to borrow one. You have to go through a hassle to get a book onto the device, even though supposedly it just comes directly from your library account to the device. You will have to install Adobe Digital Editions on your computer, authorize the device on there, and then you will have to upload books from your library account to Adobe Digital Editions. From there you will have to connect the ereader to your computer and drag the book to the ereader in Adobe, but then you might not be able to actually read it because the device will say it's not activated. But it is. I wish I had bought a Kindle!Kathy

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/08/2021Pocket and Library Research ToolI've been wanting to purchase a new ereader for some time. Most of my book reading friends recommended the Kobo Libra H2O due to the quality build and comfortable handgrip. The access to Pocket and my local library makes the machine a great research tool for writing on the go. It is much easier to read than my phone and works well beside both bound notebooks and my laptop. The text is crisp and adjustable. I love the color temperature changes based on time of day. The only downside is that I cannot read my kindle content in this reader as I used to be able to do. I still give the ereader five stars because the kindle issue is not on them. Kobo is a solid machine that is waterproof, fits easily in my purse, and is lightweight. I am going to enjoy having this ereader on my poolside vacation.Wendy
