Better than I expected! Would buy again!
I bought this as a gift for my 7 year old who LOVES legos. He was impressed with how much bigger this set was than he thought itd be (and so was I). I would definitely get this for someone else again. It comes with more than enough different characters for anyone to enjoy and I love the home details and I didnt even know it came with a LIGHT BRICK! Very cool!

Defective item in step 72
I never had a Lego set go awry, but the chocolate colored "wheel" brick in step 72 does not allow for correct placement of bricks below... the underside of the spindles are too large and will not allow a fit. Maybe I just received a defective part? Interested if anyone else had the same problem. It's difficult to get a good snapshot, but the underside spindle is too large to allow room for the black bricks.

    Fantastic
    The amount of detail in this set in amazing, and the quality is, well, Lego quality (aka - 10/10). My Potterhead son will love it. It looks very fun to build, and the playability is great. And of course, the LED block is pretty awesome.

    Love this set!
    I bought this set as a display set, not play. I really enjoyed building the set. There were a couple of fiddly spots, but overall, it was a good build. I really like the little touches that add to the atmosphere that probably wouldn't be missed if left out. (Like the hidden frog in the chest). The light up fireplace was a nice surprise. It looks good on my shelf unit.

    I don't like insulting LEGO especially since I got this as a gift but... This is an unstable set I built this set the first time for someone else who couldn't do it themselves, it fell apart as I was building it. Once it was complete it was much sturdier, But it was still a little unstable. Months later I got this set (a brand new one) as a gift it was better then last time but still unstable I pressed the peices down really hard. Usually LEGO says the beat thing to do is to rebuild it and see if that helps I rebuilt it but I had the same result it's stable, but if one peice falls of the rest will break while your trying to repair it. Sorry for the long review. After it's built it LOOKs really nice with excellent mini figz it's great besides the unstable-ness..... I love the buckbeek figure he's my favorite of all of them, this set is a great addition to my collection :) Thah Hagrid is nice too. Ppl complain about the price but c'mon! It has a Hagrid AND a Buckbeek! If I could I would rate this set 4.5 but I can't. Thank you for your time
